Betfair won't allow customers to place bets from the US.
In fact I'm not sure they'd even even permit a US citizen living overseas to open an account.Comment -

However, they won't let you bet if they detect that you are located in the US. If they discover you doing so by using means designed to hide your true location they will boot you permanently.Comment -

#8If you are Canadian based, I would definitely recommend Moneybookers, which like BetFair itself still takes our business.....Comment -

#10Lots of banks in canada are disallowing gambling transactions it seems. I know scotiabank always has and TD Canada Trust stopped allowing VC transactions to gambling sites last year I believe. I fund Betfair via a bank wire. Works goodComment -

#12Originally posted by BigSpoonI agree. You will most likely need to fund your Moneybookers account initially with a bank wire transfer though.
I wasn't sure that Canadians could use Moneybookers but if so that is the ideal solution.Comment -

#16Yes, peterd78 is right. I never managed to access betfair site when I go to USA (each year). They have filters both by IP address and account holder.Comment -
