Hello,
I'm doing an analysis on last year's Pinnacle baseball lines - I have great data on the lines, but have only one side of data for the totals and for 5 inning moneylines and totals. For instance, I know only that the total for the game (lets say the first game of the year) opened at 9.5 over -115 and closed at under 9 -119. I am looking to find the exact middle of these lines (the calculations are trivial once the juice is known). For totals for the whole game, I know that they are ten cent lines, (-105 each side) but I do not know when the juice becomes greater than 10 cents. I believe it goes to 11 cents at -113/+102 and I think 12 cents at -122/+110 but do not know exactly beyond that - and don't know if this changes when the total is higher or lower. Anyway, if anyone has this exact breakdown it would be of great help to me. I realize this is a very minor point in the analysis of full game totals, and my middle would be rarely off by more than a half or full cent.
However, when it comes to 5 inning moneylines and totals (again I only have one side of the line), I'm not even sure how much juice there is when the line is pick'em. Again, using game #1 from last year as an example, I know that the 5 inning pinny line started at boston -115 and closed at boston -113, but am unsure of where the middles are on these lines. I also know the 5 inning total started at 5, (I assume the juice is -110 or -108 either way, but again not sure there), and closed at 5 under -116. Again, i want to find the exact middles of the lines, and all lines for last season.
I hope I'm phrasing this correctly. If it were during the season, I could fairly easily go through and get estimates just by a night or two of looking at lines and juice... but I dont want to wait until April
At the very least, if someone could tell me what the 5 inning moneyline juice is when the line is pk and what the total juice is at pk. Thank you very much.
