Question: Settlement of Top Goalscorer World Cup Wager
How should this wager be settled?

I had Villa to win top goalscorer at the World Cup at odds of 11/1, 12.00, or +1100. I placed $100 on this wager. There were 4 players who scored 5 goals apiece (enough to be top goal scorer) at the World Cup, Villa was one of them.

How much should I get paid out?

What do the rules say for ties?

Doesn't WC "Top Goal scorer" have a tiebreaker in the WC, based on assists or something?

That's how they settle the winner of the Golden Boot Justin, by most assists as a tie breaker. This is strictly for top goalscorer. Here are there dead heat rules:

      Dead heat rule
The number of paying places remaining after clear winners are settled is divided by the number of players sharing those places. The odds for your selection are then multiplied by this number.
e.g. (Competition with 5 paying places). The top two players are settled while four players share third place. Since there are only three remaining paying places for these four players, the place odds for each player are multiplied by 0.75.

Seems like it should be 3.00 x $100 for $300, right? Or am I wrong? What is the industry standard?

If it paid at +1100, and were divided 5 ways, I would expect it to be +220.

Looks like +275 (3.75) is your win ... $275 profit plus the return of your $100 stake.

1 Paying Place divided by 4 "Winners" multiplied by your odds of +1100

            Ok, I can't read.

            What Halifax said.

If it's like multiple dead heat in golf, you'd get $275 profit on the odds of +1100, and $25 of your original stake back, so $300 total, $200 profit, as the gentleman before me stated.
