I've received a response from the DCP saying my case/complaint is being reviewed. So I will see that out for the time being. Consumer protection is the one who handles this, not the gaming commission apparently.

Exactly, that's why I kept saying regulators.

In the end it's all about Consumer Protection but we're used the Commissions in Vegas and Jersey Gaming Control Commission, then there's enforcement, which falls under the Attorney Generals office.

That gaming division is in the DCP (Dept. of Consumer Protection) in the CT gov't, and that's actually where I was trying to contact as well.

Glad to see they are reviewing here.

Its not a gaming issue, it's a contract issue. The issue has nothing to do with actual wagering rules.

Thanks, you've said this several times now. It shouldn't matter what it is, the gaming commission should still be able to speak to Foxwoods(Draftkings) about this to resolve it.

The gaming commission exists to regulate gaming issues, they likely don't have the resources to handle contract issues too, especially in a state like Connecticut.

They offered me $5,000 in credits as a VIP member if I wagered $21,000 in their Blackjack if I do it before Friday at 11:59PM (tonight). I'm VIP from my previous play in DFS and also from my betting while I was in NJ and PA which was semi-regularly as I travel there for poker from time to time.

After I opt in and start wagering, they change the promotion to $500 in credits.

Quite the bait and switch tactic. I've reached out to Draftkings with no response so far. I will be contacting the gaming commission board as well to recover the additional $4,500 owed to me if Draftkings doesn't do the right thing.

I have proof of the $5,000 offer on my account. I have screenshots. When I completed the offer I was given $500 in credits. Which is why they owe me an additional $4,500.

Im gonna take screenshots of everything nowadays. Its too bad its come to the point where we have to take precautions such as these to protect ourselves from these criminals

And on top of it all, such a waste of time.

If you're at the Dept. of Consumer Protection, you are in the right place.

That's where the gaming division is centered.

The industry of 'legal sports betting' is bs its just a legal channel for seize of players money, in my opinion. Its like that Walmart commercial where they help starving families by donation of food, helping communities by building a community facility, giving scholarship away, but the one thing they will not do is give raises so folks can live better and have a easier life ..that won't be happening.. Its all crap also read thread books limiting players

Even screenshots and them admitting the screenshot is correct isn't enough in this instance. The terms that aren't shown to players anywhere said $500 apparently.

Up checking futures so decided to check in. I see lets word it like this. Company is giving away million in promotions, all these new USA based books because as we already know how that works. (preying on new by giving free$ upfront, customers that are going to give it all back how many X's over) But they do not want to pay a few individual person why?? Most likely because they are a winner, that probably doesn't fit in their profit model??

One interesting note is that draftkings is really starting to tighten up their promotions, likely because they are seeing some losses from football season so far.

A couple examples, they used to give you 10 dollars for playing 50 dollars of tables games every Tuesday, that promotion was cut in half to five.

Draftkings also used to give players 5 free dollars for playing 10 dollars of blackjack and roulette over the weekend, now those promotions have been changed to playing 25 dollars for a five dollar free bet.

So at the same time this disput has come up the company is drastically cutting most of their weekly promotions , suggesting that some losses have forced them to tighten up a little bit.

People are responsible for their own actions, books and players both want to make money, it's not hard for responsible and smart players to make money with these promotions.

Draftkings has limited or eliminated almost every promotion they offer over the last 2 weeks when this dispute came up. It looks like they are losing some money and tightening up.

Tend to disagree with you on this one as a promo is only activated if the code works(if code was not active then dk forgot to turn it off, doubt that happens) Then after code is accepted comes the offer agreement which obviously would have validation dates on it

You don't understand what I am saying. Draftkings runs daily promotions for their sportsbook and casino. They had been running these promotions for over a year u til 2 weeks ago these promotions were significantly limited and on many cases completely eliminated.

I'm talking about way draftkings has recently and significantly limited their promotions over the last 2 weeks.

It's actually super neat. I just logged into the portal and it says "Closed". "Communication has occurred with Draftkings" and then I got the email from Draftkings saying the money was put into my account.

It was put in as cash, too. Not even free credits. Free credits are cash, just need to be wagered. But now I don't even have to wager.

I will say, all my VIP offers appear to be gone again. Whether that remains, or not, we shall see.

I agree they're tightening promos. They have monthly rewards based on betting level. I get Black Rewards each month. Usually it's a little different each day and totals about ~ $500 for the month. But today I see November's is exactly $10/day, rather than higher varying amounts.

Also haven't seen the "hammer the over" and similar freebie giveaways lately. Much of the rewards now are small and credited back in the form of a free bet.

This is great news. Do you know if this was due to your own persistence? I assume neither SBR nor the gaming commission had a chance to handle your case yet, correct?

He did get a response from DCP that it was being reviewed.

Maybe they made a call. This should have been a slam dunk in house, but I guess they didn't want to set a precedent with their own errors.

The State might have had a much different idea about precedent here.

They're not reading SBR, lol.

The customer is never right as well.

Until the reuglator says so. But that's a positive for US books for sure.

Opti I would be surprised if there was ever an expectation for a third party to mediate claims like this for regulated US books.

Consumer protection, something I specifically talked about years ago here when it comes to US books, will take precedent for sure.
