Who is JazzMonkey and what exactly did he post?
Lots of interested parties watching this thread. Bookmaker has treated me very well in the past and I'm not rushing to withdraw. Suddenly reducing withdrawal limits to pennies is remarkable though.

They don't. That's why it's amusing to hear Optional proudly announce to us that they say they can cover 100% of balances. It's cheap talk. Probably true for BM, but cheap talk.

True, I have not seen any BM financials.
But based on all of our experience with them over decades, I believe them too deeppckts.
Not sure why you find it amusing though. The best we can all do for the industry is be sensible.
Sport will be back, the big books won't be gone by then no matter how long it takes, as they are so profitable there will always be an investor there to bailout/takover if needed.
The more positive cash flow they can generate right now, the less book employees get stood down. If we as bettors go crazy, toilet paper style, we will just be putting extra people out of work for no real good reason that is helpful to any of us.

If we are being reasonable, obviously if jazz monkey posted a screenshot of the bookmaker chat then there is no way he should be banned.
The posting on bookmaker seems to say it is limited until sports starts back up. If they truly have enough money to cover everything then it would be just as bad because they are taking advantage of the crisis. I mean what is their rationale for the absurd limits, has anyone asked? I always thought my money was my money, within limits, at the few reputable big books. Thanks

I have a little over 10K with Bookmaker so the 3k weekly limit is not as big a deal with me compared to others with big balances. FWIW, I did request a 3k check last Monday and got it the next day. Probably little solace to someone with 6 figures there.

Made a deposit at Bookmaker on the day that the NBA shut down. Now they say I can't withdraw until I rollover the deposit 1x. I only bet pizza money on horses so this will take me a while.

I have heard about other books having no issues with lowering limits on payouts. There is no excuse for limiting the Bookmaker payouts so much. How do we, as the betting community, request a review of the grade that Bookmaker has? Or, for someone at SBR to talk to Bookmaker to see if there is a certain time frame they can put on the extreme limits? It is just totally unfair and not all books have done this. I mean right now they have a blackjack or slots tournament or something and if you win you win $10k. But, there is no way to get that $10k out except over a 3 week period.

I think this is BM's way of paying out all the rec players and keeping them happy while telling the sharps: "look, if you all take your 6 figure balances out, this could cause us some pain, so we are basically keeping your money for the time being. However, we're BM, so you shouldn't sweat it." Kind of backwards in some ways but...
