Crazy story. Bovada settled my loss as a win..

I made a series bet of $600 to win $300 on the Brewers to beat the Sox. I lost because the brewers dropped 2 of 3. However, to my surprise 3 days later, they credited my account $900 for the bet and my bet history said they graded it as a win. These funds were instantly withdrawable and I was dumbfounded and unsure what to do. I messaged them and told them of their mistake instead of withdrawing it and running away. You know what they go ahead and do? They take they money straight out of my account and said “thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconvenience.. we have now graded that wager as a LOSS”. They didn’t even throw me any type of small bonuses or cancel the original bet even though I basically and figuratively returned $900 they dropped on the floor. Wouldn’t expect anything less though. It just shows the type of business ethics and overall level of dissonance they have for their customers. Rant over.

Any suggestions to a good alternative site to bovada? I’m a Legend 1 in their reward program buts its pretty useless to be honest.

By the way... This was their email after I kindly emailed them about their mistake:

    Hi Michael,

We're contacting your about your wager with reference Id 180685891****.

Your wager was now resettled as 'Loss'.

Should you require further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,

It would have just created a mess down the road as they WOULD have figured it out....a $20 freeplay for the heads up never hurts though Good KARMA

Good Karma indeed. Not entirely sure they wouldve figured it out though because the wager was already settled and withdrawable funds were In the ol’ balance. I’ve been on their site for 8 years and they’ve never given me a win when it was a clear loss. I was super thrown off. LOL. If I would’ve withdrew it I would’ve been looking over my shoulder for a Costa Rican Hitman the rest of my life

I've seen it....only time I've ever seen an account with a negative balance LOL....it MAY have been missed but I doubt it...they may miss it initially but overall they review and are pretty sharp.... Antiguan HITMAN LMAO.....It honestly usually just creates a mess tho.....

Bovada has graded a wager a win when it lost for me as well. They eventually get it corrected after a few days and remove the cash. I agree that a small free play as a good will gesture would of been in order imo

I don't usually have much respect for people demanding freeplays as compensation for this and that.

But have to agree, coming to a book about an overpayment and just being told thanks it's been reversed, does leave you feeling a bit put out. Felt the same way myself more than once.

Called an A book a few weeks ago to ask why they had the same runner listed in 2 different markets at different odds. 12/1 and 25/1. They just said the 2nd market was not supposed to be up in my country and has been removed. I said why does the other country get double the odds I do? And the curt reply was "the market has been removed may I help you any further?".

I doubt even I will call that book and let them know about any error again.

(the 25/1 shot won btw and I didnt bet it due to 12/1 feeling like such a rippoff after seeing the 25s)

bro if I had a nickel for every time Ive done something like that with a book and receive the same kind of response Id be rich, although I dont care for them offering free plays still after having alerted them of something so many times in the past seems they would have did something but no. I dont alert them about crap anymore now.

Demanding 100%...it is not necessary at all BUT either is reporting the mistake.....karma=karma....never hurts to throw someone a tip...not saying its necessary....

Always a chance. And i would do the same next time really. Just trying to sympathize with the OP mostly As it does feel crappy to be treated shortly when you go out of your way to do the right thing.

LOL Man EVERY TIME you get a chance to stick it to these devil-ish places, you've GOT to take it!!!
All you had to do was get a withdrawal and see if THEY figured it out or not!

Bovada owes players millions of dollars from cheating the Baccarat game. If you bet $1 on the banker, it takes out 25c instead of the 5% (5c). Same for $2 & $3 & $4. They also take out 2 quarters (50c) instead of 30c on a $6 banker win. Same for EVERY bet with an odd dollar on the end like $11, or $16 or $21.
They take a quarter and only pay 75c So they cheat (profit) 20c every time somebody wins a $1 banker bet (& they cheat 15c & 10c on every $2 & $3 banker bet)

I wrote to them & told them "ONE $1 bet may not seem to matter, but when there have been a MILLION $1 banker bets, (or ANY bet with an odd dollar on the end like $6 or $11) then that means your casino has STOLEN TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS from your clients that isn't rightfully yours!!!"
(20c X 1 million = $200 grand that they failed to pay clients!)

They replied (I SWEAR!) "Dear sir, We round up to a quarter on those bets. Our site and games are for recreational play. We hope you enjoy them."
LOL I replied "Why the hell did you pick a quarter to round up to? Why don't you round up to a dime & only cheat your clients out of 5c instead of 20c? on every dollar bet?"
    LOL They never replied again!

LOL That was over 10 YEARS ago & they are STILL Taking a quarter instead of a nickel on every odd $1 baccarat bet!!
How the fuk have they been able to get away with LITERALLY STEALING from people for so long??!!
How many millions have they stolen from people on that? No damn telling!

You should have tried to steal some back from them!

Same happened to me. It was only a $25 free play but still very much appreciated. Heritage always handles things the right way.
