BetOnline - Class Action Lawsuit (Stay Away!)
I will say this first: I genuinely liked BetOnline. Their payouts were always fast, customer service was average (which is about as good as you can expect from an offshore), and I initially found Adam Burns, Dave Mason, and CS Manager JG to be reasonable to deal with.

Earlier this year I had a major issue where my live wagers were being duplicated, creating "ghost wagers." It ultimately resulted in more than $20,000 in duplicate bets. After escalating the issue with Dave, Adam, and JG, they agreed to settle by splitting the disputed wagers 50/50. It wasn't ideal, but I considered it a fair compromise.

As a result of that situation, I permanently closed my BetOnline account and requested a lifetime self-exclusion. Management confirmed in writing that my account would remain permanently closed and that I would not be able to open another account with either BetOnline or their sister site, SportsBetting.ag, since both operate under Blue High House S.A. I also confirmed this directly with their finance department.

Fast forward to recently: I contacted the finance department about reactivating my old SportsBetting.ag account, which had been dormant for more than 10 years. The account contained the exact same identifying information (name, address, email, phone number, etc.). Despite my lifetime self-exclusion, they restored the account and allowed me to deposit approximately $8,500.

In my opinion, that should never have been possible. If my lifetime self-exclusion had been properly enforced across affiliated brands, the account should have remained inaccessible and no deposits should have been accepted.

I raised the issue with management and requested reimbursement of the post-exclusion deposits along with an explanation of how their responsible gaming controls failed. They declined to provide a satisfactory resolution.

I've since retained legal counsel, met with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office regarding the matter, and am pursuing my legal options. I have also connected with another individual in New York who has filed a class action lawsuit against BetOnline/Blue High House S.A.

If you've experienced issues involving self-exclusion, account controls, or similar responsible gaming concerns with BetOnline or SportsBetting.ag, feel free to send me a DM. I'm happy to compare experiences and point you toward the documentation I've gathered.

I’m a scum bag con artist? Please explain to me - I deposit $250k with a sportsbook. They admit fault to their live wagering duplicating tickets. I lose $30k+ as a result of it. They split 50/50 but if you break down the duplicates it’s actually like 30/70 in my favor. However in order for this too happen I had to reach out to all the managers.

Not even then did JG assist until I permanently closed my account then he ended up splitting the difference.

You can call me what you want behind messages (tough guy) but my “fake” lawyers will be filing the 2nd class action lawsuit again BetOnline my friend. Cheers brother

You probably should have expected this reaction making this public.

But now you have, I for one am interested to hear how it turns out.

I appreciate it. The comments are all good—these people don’t know me. I had a good two-year run with BetOnline, and like I said, they’re good dudes.
My issue is that I permanently closed my account because they weren’t going to honor splitting the Dev duplicates. JG later came back and said they would honor it, but that my accounts couldn’t be reopened due to self-exclusion laws.
Then I was somehow able to reactivate a 10-year-old account with them, which definitely seems suspect.
At the end of the day, $8,500 is nothing from a customer who gave them over $250,000 in business. Either way, I’m sure the class action lawsuit they’ll be involved in will cost them far more than the $8,500 it would have taken to resolve this amicably.

While I agree BO shares some responsibility in the issues (could argue you forced them as well)...going after Betonline compared to your bookmaker.eu issue is certainly a choice

As far as I know Betonline is not a party to any national or state self exclusion registries.

Panama does require a self exclusion system be offered but it is purely voluntary, meaning players can request to have self exclusion lifted.

Apart from that Betonline consistently do not engage with or respond to any legal claims against them and have ignored all fines imposed. eg: https://www.egr.global/intel/insight...e-enforcement/

I'd consider all that before spending money on legal advocates. I'd doubt that most ethical law practices would take up an action like yours without giving a strong warning that collecting is unlikely.
