In the MNF playoff game tonight towards the end of the game when Houston scored a TD to go up 30-6, DK had a live in game of Houston -24.5 with a little over 2 minutes left. The PAT was still pending, and I placed a 15k wager on it (I commonly make wagers like this and I had a good weekend), so as I place the wager I notice that the wager isn’t being accepted yet and it was just frozen on the screen waiting for the DraftKings team to manually approve the wager. Well, as this is going on, the PAT is attempted and it was missed. So with the score now 30-6 Houston -24.5 went from a 75 percent chance of winning when I tried to make the wager to 1 percent of winning as they were never going to score again unless a defensive TD. DraftKings essentially freerolled me, had the PAT been made they never would have accepted the wager. They waited until the decision was made and the PAT missed to accept the wager! My equity went from 15k to $150 immediately by them doing this to me. It is total fraud!
when I escalated it to DraftKings, their reason for refusal of voiding the bet was that “Houston still could have had a defensive TD” they never disputed their tactics that they freerolled me 14.9k, quite the contrary they implied it was very common.
let this be a warning to never use their live in game feature especially if it’s late in the game and it’s a larger wager. They will stall you for an indefinite amount of time, I even see In their rules now that they have the authority to do this!
“All bets placed through the DraftKings Platform may be subject to a time delay prior to acceptance by DraftKings, and the length of such delay may vary.
Whether there is a time delay, and the length of any time delay, shall be determined in DraftKings' sole and absolute discretion, for any reason or no reason.”
this is what they cited for why the wager will stand! It was literally pending sitting on their side to accept for a significant length of time, and at no point was I able to cancel the wager. The PAT was missed and then they accepted it! I have an email chain with them where they pretty much say yeah we did that no big deal wager stands you still could have won your wager with a pick 6…
i feel like I am in the twilight zone. How is this even legal? I’ve been in the industry for 20 years and I have never seen anything like this before. I’ve been with DK since they first launched over a decade ago. I am so disappointed by this, I was literally robbed by a regulated sportsbook.
