i can't blame them for closing the account after that e-mail. they have no way knowing if you were being sarcastic or not and they are obliged to close accounts upon request.

more importantly though: i've written it here before, but it's amazing and disturbing the unprecedented speed this once very solid book has gone down the toilet. at one not so distant point they had some very knowledgeable traders who know exactly where they wanted big money on. i don't know if these guys were laid off or they were restricted by management but centrebet is a complete joke nowadays.

Too many sharps around, too many slack traders. They maybe were able to get away with that in better economic times, but not now.

Another australian sportsbook a friend of mine get this email. FROM IAS BET. (Thoose funds are frozen and he cant withraw his funds.)

Its not that unusual for Aussie books to require certified ID.
If 'your friend' exists - get the id certified and you'll have your his money back quicker
than you would at dozens of shitehawk CR books

Centrebet used to be an excellent book but these days they are utter crap

Simply not worth maintaining an account with anymore

I withdrew all my funds a few months back after experiencing silly $20 limits or flat refusals to take my bets or give me access to their prime racing product

But stop whining about ID requirements by Oz bookmakers. The fault is NOT theirs. It's what required by law for them to maintain their licenses. No big deal just send in certified documents as requested. Oz books are the safest in the world. You may lose your money gambling with them but not through theft.

they are merely examples of who can do it, the list is somewhat longer than that .. I'm neither a cop nor a doctor but am authorised to certify documents

most people would know someone on the list of professions who would be able to do the certification for you
I've done heaps of them for friends and neighbours and never charged a cent

No the **** certification required a registered notary public. The only local ones were solicitors.
