i can't blame them for closing the account after that e-mail. they have no way knowing if you were being sarcastic or not and they are obliged to close accounts upon request.

more importantly though: i've written it here before, but it's amazing and disturbing the unprecedented speed this once very solid book has gone down the toilet. at one not so distant point they had some very knowledgeable traders who know exactly where they wanted big money on. i don't know if these guys were laid off or they were restricted by management but centrebet is a complete joke nowadays.

You and I have quibbled over details on a few occasions. In this case I agree 100% with every word.

Many books closing or losing their once solid reputation like Wsex did, the industry is going down fast atm. I hope it stops soon, but i don't think so...

Too many sharps around, too many slack traders. They maybe were able to get away with that in better economic times, but not now.

When even the Asian books are putting pretty heavy limits down, most other books are inevitably going to do so.

Centrebet refused bets on MLB Totals for $50, the wager was set as $0. and money refunded. Lately, CentreBet has advanced to the high limits low limits or no limits at all. Centrebet is no longer a high stakes Company.

also read; william hill to bid for centrebet then you in some way understand what happened with centrebet lately.

Another australian sportsbook a friend of mine get this email. FROM IAS BET. (Thoose funds are frozen and he cant withraw his funds.)

IAS BET-passport and ID-requirement is not enough
A player recieved this email from IAS Bet for a moneybookers-withrawal of $300.
                      Dear MXXXXX,

Its not that unusual for Aussie books to require certified ID.
If 'your friend' exists - get the id certified and you'll have your his money back quicker
than you would at dozens of shitehawk CR books

Centrebet used to be an excellent book but these days they are utter crap

Simply not worth maintaining an account with anymore

I withdrew all my funds a few months back after experiencing silly $20 limits or flat refusals to take my bets or give me access to their prime racing product

But stop whining about ID requirements by Oz bookmakers. The fault is NOT theirs. It's what required by law for them to maintain their licenses. No big deal just send in certified documents as requested. Oz books are the safest in the world. You may lose your money gambling with them but not through theft.

I think police offices have better things to do,(for example crimes)and doctors too. In my opinion this stinks.

Whether you think it stinks or not is pretty irrelevant, the fact is that it is the law, and so the cost of doing business in a country where gambling is legal.

they are merely examples of who can do it, the list is somewhat longer than that .. I'm neither a cop nor a doctor but am authorised to certify documents

My point was; It seems the security for australian sportsbooks is extremely high.

My point2. Police offices in my country (Sweden) perhaps not give thoose stamps. and for that reason I see this question important.

Any lawyer/solicitor will do it, for a fee.

I had to get my documents certified for my Australian ****, cost me about £70. Not the cheapest option, but always a fallback.
