VIP won't fix their mistake/threaten to close my account

    VIP won't fix their mistake/threaten to close my account
    Here's the situation. I made a 200 dollar deposit on 8/31. They somehow received authorization to run that deposit twice (no I didn't hit the submit button twice). One payment posted to my bank account and another was pending for the same amount. The second payment caused me to be overdrafted at my bank and stopped 3 of my credit card payments resulting in over $300 in fees. After a few days, VIP noticed their mistake and stopped the second $200 deposit from happening, but the damaged was done. My bank said there was nothing they could do because it wasn't a bank error, but they did reimburse me the fees they had given me. My credit card companies gave me hundreds of dollars in fees and needed a statement from VIP saying that they had authorization for two 200 dollar deposits. Well VIP refused to do anything. All I was asking for was a letter. I told them I wasn't asking for any monetary reimbursement from them, just a letter which would probably take two minutes. They said no and threatened to close my account in two minutes. In the end they offered me $50, which I declined. Bullshit! This is how they treat a loyal customer who's been with them for five years! I'm done with them.
