    Seeking opinions on grading question
Yesterday I had the UNDER 22.5 total combined shots in the Italy / England Euro final. According to the website's terms, soccer wagers only count regulation time; extra time and penalties are not included.

Shots finished Italy 15-4 England after regulation, which means my under should be a winner (19). There were 6 more shots in extra time, making the final after extra time Italy 19-6 England, and my wager was graded a loss (25). Am I wrong to think this should have been a winner?

I have contacted customer service, and they told me they would pass along my request to the provider -- the bet was through the Prop Kingz platform some sites use -- but I'm still waiting on a response.

I also had a wager at the same site OVER 1.5 shots on Harry Maguire. Maguire had 1 shot during regulation time, and the wager was graded a loss. However, Maguire took one of England's penalties, so if they're including extra time and penalties, at least one of these wagers should be a winner. The only way they both lose if if they're including extra time but not penalties. There's no way that should happen, right?

I'm still waiting on a response from the book, but I'm curious to get the thoughts of others while I wait. Am I wrong to think my UNDER 22.5 should have been a winner?

The standard rule is all soccer bets are 90 minutes, (end of 2nd half), unless specifically stated otherwise. Normally the only bets that aren't 90 minutes are 'to progress/lift trophy'. The official site stats are here:

    https://www.uefa.com/newsfiles/euro/2020/2024491_ts.pdf

I would expect the total shots market to be settled at 19.

Obviously this is subject to the individual book's general soccer and stat reference site rules.

I received some clarification on the matter -- it turns out the Prop Kingz platform has different rules than the regular site. Prop Kingz DOES include overtime / extra time for prop wagers, but they do NOT include penalties, which means both of these wagers were apparently losses. However, the book is going to credit me with a win for the UNDER 22.5 shots this time.

I suppose it's on me for not knowing the prop platform and the regular platform do not use the same rules, but I don't see that indicated anywhere on the site. I'm not sure how I was supposed to have known that. But I credit them for giving me a win this time around.

This appears to be a not too uncommon problem at sportsbooks from what I've seen. They have different 3rd party providers for things like prop builders and live wagering, but they don't document anywhere that the rules are different from the rules published on their site.

I'm a bit surprised by the extra-time rules, but that's why I post about bets being subject to individual site rules. If they pay or void in your favour then good luck to you and a fair play thumbs up to them.

I found this on the prop builder website. Basketball - all overtime is included in settlement | American Football - all overtime is included in settlement | Baseball - all extra innings are included in settlement | Ice Hockey - all overtime is included in settlement but does not include penalty shootouts | Soccer (player markets only) - all overtime is included in settlement but does not include penalty shootouts | Soccer (game markets) - overtime and penalty shootouts are not included

That sounds like a great angle to bet both sides and try to middle it next time you want to bet a game that could go to ET. Under on PropKingz and over in the main book.

Kudos to your book for looking after you this time too

I was just saying to someone else half an hour ago that books do do nice things regularly if approached in the right way.

Thanks for sharing this -- where did you find it? I looked but don't see it.

This is a great point, and something everyone needs to remember. I've found being polite and reasonable to be much more effective than going in with guns blazing. Especially when dealing with front-line customer service -- they aren't the ones making the decisions anyway, so no sense abusing them.
