Ofcourse they reject creditcard for the simple fact that people might do a charge back on their CC, most BTC sellers reject creditcard for this reason, just a few of them accept them. Best way to buy BTC is via a wire bank transfer, and keep your BTC on a standalone wallet on your PC.

You pay the fees and take all the risk. That's the simple explanation of bitcoin and dealing with the offshore books. Bookies get free cash deposits and easy pay outs.

Use BM or another book that takes card. Bitcoin as a deposit is one of the worst ways to do it.

There's a huge benefit to be able to get money in and out of a sportsbook using bitcoin. Not only is it easy, in most cases it offers extremely low fees. One of the worst post I have ever read on SBR.

If you want them quick first time, you may want to search for a bitcoin ATM near you.

If you join a regular exchange like gemini.com it will take a few days before you will have access to the bitcoin. But that's what you should do for ongoing use.

gemini is the best but it does take 4 days for ach funds to clear before you have access to send btc. ATM's are very convenient fast and easy like Optional said. Localbitcoins is another option that I use for fast btc and rates are better then the ATM's on most transactions

Let me make it simple for you, go to localbitcoins.com, enter your city, click "cash in person" and you'll find a list of sellers in your area that will meet you at a starbucks, sometimes even in a bank lobby, etc. You hand cash, they transfer coin to you, and you part ways. Or, you can even use localbitcoins as it was intended, and have them act as escrow for the deal. Personally I prefer cash in hand though.

You must be taking an almost 10% hit. I deal on LBC all the time. Cash in person has one of the worst rates.

Ok so let's say someone wants to do 5k, I realize what you guys are saying is easy but the fees you pay are huge from what I've seen on those Exchange sites, can you give me an example?

Its not that simple, you need to do 3 minutes reading for yourself https://gemini.com/trading-fee-schedule/

But if you want to buy 5k worth there, fees should be around $50 if you read what to do the right way.
