Thanks. That looks easy.. now if A+ BetOnline can get their website working that would help.

Please don't listen to anyone telling you to withdraw bitcoin directly from a bookmaker to Coinbase.

          1) It is against the Coinbase terms of service and has resulted in many accounts being shut down

          2) It is not wise to ask one third party to send your bitcoin directly to another third party as if anything goes wrong you are not involved in the transaction and will have to rely on one or both of them to try and help fix it. And in the case of a bookmaker to coinbase, you cant get the book to talk to them or tell them where it came from for Coinbase to speak to the book.

There is a video tutorial designed to help understand the issues bettors need to know when getting started with bitcoin here.

its completely fine to do it once. After that its best to set up a "filter wallet" as a go between.

              How is it safe once??

And why do it at all anyway. Laziness?

It takes 2 mins to install his own wallet and only costs about $2 extra in fees to never leave a trail to be found that he broke the terms even once.

Plus the safeguard of always being a party to every send involving his own bitcoin.

not laziness at all. Many are scared to try bitcoin. They think they will screw it up. That is easily the #1 reason why people don't use it. Do it once and you will be an expert and you will see how easy it is. Then adding a filter wallet is a easy next step. Just trying to ease them into it is all.

No one has got in trouble from coinbase doing it directly once.

I do agree trying to keep it sounding as simple as possible is important, especially with these late adopters.

But it's too important info to leave out imho, and like you say, 90% of these people just need to actually do a transfer once or twice to "get it" and feel fine with the system.

Just getting newbies to realize there is a difference between their own wallet and a wallet an exchange allows them to use is an important basic thing a lot don't twig to easily as well. Had to explain it 100+ times in PMs and on forum. So I am also being selfish and trying to cut down workload by making sure the right info gets shared in public as much as possible.
