I expect you say that because you're probably from the US and you don't have a choice to use e-wallets. Luckily I'm not in that situation and can choose whatever payment method I like and I will never touch Bitcoin. There are so many positives for e-wallets in front of Bitcoin that there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to use Bitcoin if you have the option to use e-wallets instead. The reality is that if the authorities hadn't come in and forced Neteller etc out of the US, you'd still be using e-wallets and wouldn't have even entertained Bitcoin in the first place. So if you have the choice between e-wallets or Bitcoin, it's a complete no-brainer with e-wallets all the way.

I'm not in the USA and disagree with you Luctens.

If I want to deal with any book that does not take my local currency (and there is 3 in particular that I do) then bitcoin is easier and much much cheaper than dealing with wallets. Especially Skrill who will take 4.5% on the way into the book and another 4.5% on the way out by way of foreign exchange premium over the spot rate.

I have a choice and it's a complete no brainer to use Bitcoin for me.

Thanks for input but I was still hoping that maybe SBR could get some good answer from Cris or 5dimes as to expected return of NT.

If you get a VIP account with Skrill/Neteller which is pretty easy to do then you could get an alternative currency account in euros/USD etc, you wouldn't be charged these currency conversion fees on every single deposit or withdrawal to and from a bookmaker. Also I expect there are fees along the way with loading funds to your Bitcoin wallet, buy and sell price having a margin in it which you have to pay and when you withdraw from your Bitcoin wallet to your bank account I expect there are currency exchange etc fees so if you had an VIP e-wallet alternative currency account then I would expect that the fees for e-wallet and Bitcoin wouldn't be much different and probably better overall than Bitcoin.

But the absolute overriding thing for me when it comes to money is security. I simply don't trust Bitcoin and you have absolute no security whatsoever over fraud etc on your Bitcoin account. So whether the fees for Bitcoin or e-wallet are less or more although I think if you had all the benefits an e-wallet offers then e-wallet would probably be better, the main thing is that if fraud happens on your Bitcoin account there is absolutely no backup whatsoever and that in my view should be of absolute paramount concern when choosing where to have your money and make payments from.

I use Independant Reserve as an exchange. Can deposit from bank account instantly for free and pay a 0.5% brokerage fee to buy bitcoin. The same in reverse to cash out, which happens overnight. Costs 1% total and quicker than Skrill on the cashout and am dealing with a properly regulated institution who cannot by law make arbitrary decisions the way Skrill can. I genuinely feel more secure with my money there than Skrill, be it in bitcoin or fiat currency.

Anyway, not saying it suits you better too but it really did solve a problem for me betting with US-centric offshore books which I need for US motorsport.

As mentioned, NT is probably being phased out. If you are in USA, just use Bitcoin. If you are outside USA, then you probably have more options besides NT.
