Croatia looked great in their opening match, but that was against an Irish team that lacks a good midfield. Italy, on the other hand, has more quality in the midfield than Croatia AND they have 5 midfielders on top of that. I don't see them having any success generating scoring opportunities, the 5 solid midfielders, the solid back 3 (back 5 when defending) and the brilliance of Buffon. I'll be surprised if Croatia get more than 2-3 shots on net let alone a goal. Italy on the other hand has some good pace and talent all around the pitch. They'll definitely score 1, maybe 2. My bet is Italy (+110)

Best bet IMO. Croatia can always create something out of the bag and Italy has been subpar lately compared to their past great sides. It can likely end in a draw or one of them can sneak out a win.

I can't see Mandzukic giving the Italians problems. If Croatia are going to get something out of this game they will need more from Modric, Rakitic, Srna etc. Gonna be tough for their forwards against Bonuicci and Chiellini.
