Wish I knew what is going to happen in that match. Only soccer certainty I see right now is a Barca win on Sunday.

Reysol should win rather easily in their match up with Al Sadd. It all depends on the odds though, but the over in that game is worth a serious look. I haven't checked any of the odds or done research yet, but those are the plays that pop out off the top of my head. Nothing sealed until I get a look at the lineups and coaching strategies.

No worries, baskets. FTL, I know you follow soccer. I'm looking real hard at Newcastle/Swansea City. Really like Newcastle to get a win at home. -.5 is +110 right now. Any thoughts on this match? Swansea have one win in their last 5 games, but Newcastle's defense has been pretty atrocious. That's the only thing that worries me.

That game is a no play for me. I am a spot bettor, and I don't see an angle in that match. If I don't think I have an edge I don't bet. GL to you if you decide to make a play!

Taking Benfica -1.5 (-130) against Rio. Match starts in half an hour. Benfica beat them 5-2 last December and 2-1 earlier this year. Benfica has played 6 matches at home this season and won all 6. They're currently in 2nd position in the Portugal Super Liga while Rio is in 13th. Rio is 0-5-1 in their away matches this year. Playing this strictly for action because I've got the day off tomorrow (today).

I saw that on a few sites, but I've never seen a wrong start time posted at my book. Guess I'll lay off. Hahaha

it is 7:53am Friday in Portugal right now... 5 hours ahead difference from Portugal and East coast of America. So this game is being played at 8 PM portugal time.

Yeah, I looked that up too. Thought it was strange my book had them playing at 8:15 in the morning, but like I said, I've never seen a wrong start time posted in any sport and I've been at this book for years.

Dec 16, 2011 15:15 Benfica Lissabon v Rio Ave FC... that's what my book has. I watch a lot of this sport, and most of the games during the week involving league play happen later in the day. On the weekends (Saturdays, and Sundays) you will get earlier starts.

When I said half and hour, I really meant 12 and half hours.

reysol is a big favorite in a few hours. The odds aren't very good either, unless you lay the -1. The over looks enticing.

I think the only real smart play for these two matches is to parlay Reysol and Barca. Totals seem tough to gauge.

This is what I was thinking. Maybe even throw Melbourne Victory in for an extra.

I'd leave it at two. I always think two teamers are the way to go and coupling those two is about an even money parlay - doesn't get better than that as far as a risk standpoint IMO. Throwing in that third just always seems to open it up to getting boned.

yeah, I do agree. I am usually very ware of even doing 2 teamers. Cheers for talking me out of it. I will take the Reysol/Barca combo though. GL.

I'm still really wanting to go over 3.5 for Santos-Barca. Even with no Villa, Barca is so deadly it's hard to see them being held in check by Santos who weren't that tight against Reysol. I wish Sanchez was playing though, that'd make me feel real good about taking that.

I dont know why Santos is getting no respect, some bookies have them ML @ 10.5, thats great value, IMO.
Many friends of mine, are going big on it (Im from Brazil)...
Lets see what we can take out of it.
LETS GO NEYMAR.

Al Sadd had one scoring chance against Barca and four shots in their previous game. Looks like a 1-0 or 2-0 win for the Rice Puddings.
