Well Miron Bleiberg (Foxsports) doesn't think Sydney will get past the Phoenix, and you've got to think he knows more about this stuff than I do.

I've been going back and forth about this matchup. Wellington isn't exactly the form team; on the other hand they've beaten Sydney three times this year and, now that's it's all on the table, and playing at home where they're very strong, I really don't see them losing to the SB's. So I guess I agree with Miron after all! (I'd check Mat1's thread, he'll likely have a play on this match.)

Phoenix did win all 3 regular matches this season against Sydney (4:2 and 2:1 at home) and I think it is very well possible they will also win this one. So for me it's Phoenix and the over 2.5 here.
Edit due to some misinformation, I apologize.

Wellington are 3-0 against Sydney this year and, being at home, should have the edge once more. Phoenix havent had anything to play for the last few weeks and have 1 draw and 2 losses out of their last 3 games, but they should have been looking ahead to this game for a while now and should be ready to go. They have won their last 3 at home against Sydney too, but Sydney have been playing with their backs to the wall the last month and are playing better for it. Wellington should win this, but anything can happen, I like the over a lot for this game.

Very much agreed about wellignton's form. Hard to tell if they have just lost that little bit lately or just switched off waiting for this week. Something tells me they do turn it on tonight though, Miron has been spot on with his observations so its hard to disagree with him.

I know you edited it, but just to be clear for anyone reading, re. Liam Reddy, he has been dropped for several weeks now and they have gone with reserve GK for the last month or so, he has been an improvement for Sydney, hence Liam was drowning his sorrows on the flight!

@matl: Absolutely correct. That was the information I edited, cause I thaught he was still keeper Nr.1. That was not correct, because he lost his place to Ivan Necevski late in this season. I completely missed this, but luckily saw it just in time. Sorry again, if anyone did read my post before I edited! Picks remain the same for me. Wellington (+118) and over 2.5 (+104) (pinnacle).
