    How to read soccer lines?
Sorry for asking such a beginner question but I am having trouble finding this information online.

How come soccer lines have 2 spreads?

For example, why is it +1, +1.5 vs just +1

    Thanks!

This should be a sticky or something. It gets asked a few times a month.

What the two lines mean for example Seattle -1,-1½ +105 is that half for your wager is on -1 & the other half on -1½

And about the question Beeps is saying all clear!

And in ur case for example u have the +1, +1.5 in a game for team b!

      the outcomes can be:

Team A vs Team B 1-1, here u win full stake! also aplays if Team B wins!

Team A vs Team B 2-1 u have half push of the +1 and half win of the +1.5

Team A vs Team B 2-0 u lose the bet!

The diference with +1 is the price and the fact that with the +1 the outcomes would have been

Team A vs Team B 1-1, here u win full stake! also aplays if Team B wins!

      Team A vs Team B 2-1 u have a push

Team A vs Team B 2-0 u lose the bet!

Thank you both of you very much (especially for the nice explanation)!

Out of curiosity, any specific reasons why soccer lines are like that? Is it to offer lower variance?

I would think just because the numbers are low compared to any other sport it's essentially moving the line 1/4

Yeah, like beeps says, it allows for smaller line moves. +0.5 to +0.5, +1 to +1 is pretty much like +0.5 to +0.75 to +1. Very very rarely do you see these types of lines in say ice hockey or other low-scoring sports, but like stated, it's to allowed small line movements.
