for Leeds game, its not a DRAW - 1 or the other will win, so I would take Leeds.

#77Well, not a FANTASTIC season...sitting at 25-16-0 (25wins, 16losses, 0pushes) for the year in NPower Championship League. Had a bad streak that put up 6-8 losses that could have been avoided. Don't ask me how many units I am up/down, I bet these all completely different with my OWN BANKROLL which is why I don't post any type of "units placed on this bet" stat. The record is Wins-Losses-Pushes only and is meant just to be a guideline for me to observe, not for people to take as a declaration of my success, or lack thereof. If you read my posts in this thread and others, I have stated many times that I do NOT bet large and do this just for the love of watching live sports with a little sumpin' sumpin' riding.
That being said, gonna try and lose off with a bang...
Reading v. Swansea - I really like Swansea here in this position. Reading have been hot but the Swans have been nothing to scoff at. Their performance was incredible against Forest, especially the first leg when Forest really should have dominated.
Play:
Reading v. Swansea - Swansea DNB @ 1.80
Just a little action on today's game, hopefully gonna end the season off with a winner!! Tail at your own risk folks - tough game to cap!!
Good luck everyone!! As always, comments, fades/tails welcome!! Thanks to everyone who viewed/contributed to the thread this year. Next year let's get more discussion and brew some winners!!Comment -

#79Just re-hashing this ol' thread of mine from last year. Not sure if I'm gonna play much over the next couple of weeks until I get a feel for the new season, but there may be a play or 2 today. Discussion is always good though. I know a few other peeps started Championship/League 1 threads and wish them the best of luck and success, as I consider you all friends until you prove otherwise. These other threads are good though because it will hopefully spark interest in these leagues which would lead to more insight and discussion which wooulld leeaadd toooo......MONEY!!!! We're all in this together against the books so lets see strength in numbers!!!
Just FYI...I had someone ask me about my ROI and Units and all that stuff...I don't keep track of it. Not because I don't care or don't think it's important but because personally, that type of "looking back" doesn't help me move forward. If I win OR lose, I focus on next thing comin' round the corner and put my work into that, not into looking at what could have been, or how many units I now have to make up. I suppose it would be easier if I did it from the beginning but failed to do so. If one of the capper-cappers out there want to do it then feel free. I don't always flat bet though...let me know if it's something of dire importance for y'all.
On that note, I'll start specifying small, medium or large plays. Since others in this forum have had fancy names for the unit sizes, I'll do the same...just for poops and chuckles.
Shot - very small play, usually "value" plays like huge dogs or draws or exact scores, that type of thing. Like 0.25-0.35U type plays.
Bottle - Can fluctuate a little bit but usually about 1U, give or take. I will "bottle" plays that I like but have one or two factors going against. In other words, plays I want to go normal on but have a little reservation about.
Pint - A normal sized play. 2U. Plays I have the confidence in to lay normal on.
Pitcher - In Canada, we call a JUG a "pitcher" so if you are trying to visualize a dude on a mound with a baseball, just visualize a big ol' jug of ice-cold beer. These plays will be rare and are ones I will hammer, like 4-5U but I'll specify.
Also should be noted that any "favourites" (<2.00 odds) will be TO WIN said units. Any "dogs" (>2.00 odds) will be WAGER said units.

#80OK, there will be a play today but I have to run out so going to post it now. I had 2 bad days last season totaling 11 losses where I wasn't focused. Those killed my record here. Hoping to start strong...

#88I would lean the home sides tonight. All of them actually lol. Not sure if I'll make any official plays. Really liking Cardiff this year. One of my favourite players, Robert Earnshaw, left Forest for his homeland there and I personally think he just made a strong team even more threatening. My Forest jersey with his name and number arrived like 2 weeks before the transfer LOL. So disappointing. I like that price though. I know Brighton is strong but ya, nothing official yet.Comment -

#91Just few plays for Saturday...may add a play on the later game (Peterborough-Ipswich)...sorry no real time for write-ups tonight. have long day tomorrow and need some sleep.
Play:
Burnley v. Cardiff - OV 2.5 @1.8 - PINT (2u)
Nottingham Forest v. Leicester - OV 2.5 @2.05 - Shot (0.5u)
Nottingham Forest v. Leicester - Nottingham Forest DNB @1.72 - Bottle (1u)- I think Forest has a better day at home. Leicester seems to have not found their feet yet, as the same with Forest but I'll lean the home side here with a DNB push option...
I also think the forest game has goals so I'll take this for smaller shot also...
Nottingham Forest v. Leicester - Result/Total Goals -> Nottingham Forest and Over 2.5 @4.00 - Shot (0.25u)
First try on totals this year. I warn you that I have terrible luck with them...I could bet OV for a team that scores 3 goals every game of the season and the one time I pull the trigger, they put up a fat 0. It's a curse I am trying to break...

#92Disgusted. Burnley scored 2' into the game and it only ends with 2 goals. I want to puke. Foest made an amazing comeback to draw level after a red card by Leicester but couldn't pull the win. Shitty day.

#96Ya. I'm so embarassed. twice today I went against my gut and got burned. Wanted to make one of earlier winning plays a full unit, erased it and made it half. Wanted to just take Peterborough ML but was stupid and saw a 2-1 game so took the winning margin. Very angry with myself. Thats what you get for having 2 voices in your head that never seem to agree.Comment -

#98Ok, haven't been dedicating much time to this thread, been trying to stay afloat in this league and I think I'm starting to get a better handle. Been playing mostly totals lately but there is a side for tomorrow that I have to take based on a couple of things. I'm sure people who have read this thread in the past can figure it out lol.
Play:
Nottingham Forest v. Birmingham City - Nottingham Forest (full-time result) @2.10 - PINT (2U)
Forest find themselves at the bottom of the table after a terrible start to the new season. The thing is, they have played half-decent football but haven't been able to find the back of the net as much as they should have. New addition Ishmael Miller seems to be warming up to to his new team which has lacked a bit of chemistry at the front. They have the talent to be at least a middle-table team right now but with a few of the additions starting nearly every game, they have yet to fall into sync as a unit. Goaltender Lee Camp has looked suspect some outings and even though he is considered a solid keeper, he looks very confused sometimes but I expect him to have full-focus for this clash at home. On the other side of the pitch, recently relegated Birmingham City are also sitting at the bottom and even though the end of the season is far-off, if City doesn't start to right the ship, they could find themselves being relegated 2 levels of football in as many seasons. The problems for both of these teams are huge. Birmingham has lost to some very mediocre teams already this season although they did just pick up a Europa League win. I don't expect that trip to Slovenia to have really sparked any confidence in them as the reality of being shite in Championship League this year is right back in their face with another away game. The talent on Forest should be enough to put City away if they can play as a cohesive unit and I'll back them with my money to do just that.
Good luck everyone!! As always, comments, fades/tails welcome!!

#103Okay Okay, re-hashing the old thread for....yes...another Forest pick lol!! Going to go fairly large on these today, just for fun and too hopefully get something going in the thread again.
Plays:
Leicester City - Nottingham Forest OV 2.5 Goals @1.80 - PITCHER (4u)
Leicester City - Nottingham Forest - BTS @1.72 - BOTTLE (2u)
Well, Nottingham Forest has finally climbed out of the damn basement, but still sit just above the relegation-zone. They have started to score again, FINALLY, putting up 7 two matches ago against Leeds. Forest only managed to tally 1 last outing against a tough Brighton HA squad who are 6th in the league in the Goals Allowed stat, so are no defensive slouches. Forest is so damn unpredictable and traditionally have trouble scoring at Leicester, but they have shuffled the lines around and seem to be more attack-minded the last few matches. I think they will net at least 1 in this tie, hence my BTS pick. Leicester has put up at least a goal in the last 11 matches and put up 2+ in the last 4. They will definitely come out attacking, knowing damn well that Forest has begun scoring again and this is a match they want to take all three points from. They are 11th in the league in conceding goals but have let at least one roll past in the last 6. I see a 3-1 type match, maybe with Forest finally netting a late one. However, I wouldn't drop anything on Leicester City ML just yet as Forest have been so unpredictable, and they could be feeling confident after their scoring surges and juggled lines. I hope Forest can pull any result from this but I think backing goals is the best option. I MAY end up adjusting units, the more I look at it, but I doubt it.
Good luck everyone!! As always, comments, fades/tails welcome!!
