    Dr. Bob Hoops?
After 1-4 Tuesday, he is sitting on a big night! I know, I know, "the dice have no memory" and 5 heads doesn't mean a tail is more likely. I do believe though, that if a handicapper can try harder for wins, they will do so after a bad day..... any thoughts on that?

Thanks slots! Bob will probably go 2-3-1 with his lines but somehow I will end up 1-5.

Bob took credit for 3-4, taking a win on St. Bonaventure. Many got that game at -6, which would make him 2-4-1. No mention of that by Bob. Which again shows that his actual record, posted on his site, although accurate from Bob's standpoint, is not representative of the actual results for most, if not all of his followers. If you are a $100 player that pays for the plays, I believe you are a net loser over Bob's career, albeit close to even.

Doesn't it make sense to buy a couple of points when the line moves like that? A couple of points still gets you -150. As long as you win 2 out of 3, the bet is profitable. Seems to me huge line moves like that are pretty solid bets at least when using the opening line or really close to it.

Bob has burried all his basketball subscribers (I am one of them). He is down 71.3 stars in bball. Yes 71.3!!! That's incredible especially because he basically only bets 1 or 2 stars per game. The worst is that he always says his handicapping has been good but he is losing because he is getting unlucky or using his favorite term... "variance". Bottom line is that his handicapping methods have no value the last few years.

Jimmy, you should never buy to -150. Yeah maybe if you can win 66.6% of your bets. But that is not possible. Except for the few outliers, most cappers would love to hit 54-55%. I wouldn't even buy to -120 unless it is at a key number.

You can't bet Bob after the line move, it is not going to work. Bob is a 53% handicapper these days and a half point knocks you down 2%. If you bet the ones that move a point, you have no chance whatsoever.

You do have to give him a break for bad luck with the NBA. Nobody can be that bad. He has been unlucky there.

It is amazing how much he still moves lines. He is still a winning handicapper so a half point move is justified. You will get slaughtered betting a 1-point move and might do better betting the other side.

If you are going to bet him at least stay away from the 1-point moves.

You've really got to be one of the guys that can get down straight away with his releases. This stuff is not for the average guy.
