The same goes for RAS. If we start losing edge, the market will be their to pounce and our average CLV will quickly dissipate.
Does someone that can match your long term win rate, but moves less money(less line movement) have less of an edge? Of course not. That is one reason that I feel CLV can often times be misleading. I think that results presented in a transparent manner are a better and more accurate indicator of long term success.

And yes, I know that one could argue market validation, but that would correlate to a very efficient market which would be a separate issue.

RAS initiates a shock wave to the line/total (and deservedly so), but everything after the release is in the hands of the market. You can't possibly think CLV is artificial.

Example, If RAS did not release Troy +10.5, I'm willing to bet the line would still have closed at 6. Why? Because it was STILL being bet heavily at +7. Every number gets bet into form by the market with or without RAS.

I guess that it's more a matter of perspective. I don't concern myself with BCL because I believe that it is incidental....a by-product of being able to recognize value in openers/early lines if you will.

For the record, I respect RAS for their success and transparency in a shaky industry where there is all too little of it. Furthermore, I had already heard the podcast with Millman and I agree with 99% with what I heard. I just struggle with this CLV mantra for several reasons with the possible exception of short term evaluation. The only thing that I learned that I didn't know was a last name.

Yup 15-14. Was hoping for a better start. Hopefully this week we can pickup 4-5 units since only 5 weeks left of college football for ras service. Maybe instead of banter wit freeloaders on here, ras can spend more time dissecting games and make it a profitable college football season 👍

Sure, there can be temporary lapses, but why are they moving less money? There usually is a reason. Perhaps haven't been successful for as long, etc. If that person has a lot of edge their bankroll, bet size, following, and/or influence will grow with time.
Other than RAS, I know of no way to just "join" a syndicate (and yes, obv, I'm labelling RAS a kind of a syndicate; it's a publicly available one). -PokerJoe Oct 2010

Your exactly the product of why forums get bad reputations, everyone in here is contributing their thoughts, young, old, novice, experts, all of them. It was a nice thread, free of bashing, and here you go. You can't right 3 sentences without "banter wit freeloaders." Can we finally have a forum free of the crap. Thanks to all that contributed here, we may be on different pages, but we all have something to say, and did it nicely.
