and to think about a month ago I was seriously thinking of trying to boost my status and go pro on this lame forum...paying the $200 for another useless forum/site... AND THEN...to think I was actually contemplating going to the Annual SBR bash for the 1st time this year...

I joined this site a couple years ago when the site was full of people who would help others..listen...and actually give real opinions and objections regarding gambling questions..... WHAT HAPPENED SBR?

Place full of A-holes bashing others while sharing nothing of substance. Kind of like this thread.

sub-forums have gamblers sharing and helping others, maybe not high traffic but quality posting.

If I remember correctly I tried at one stage to PM you some helpful information about cashing out of one of those free betting sites. At the time you had trouble understanding my advice which was +ev to you and wanted me to just do it for you. It takes a certain level of intelligence and discipline to win at sports betting. All of the information you need to be profitable is here on SBR. If you don't have the brains to find it, sadly you shouldn't be gambling.

hmmm..not sure if I remember this but...ok...like I said earlier..."With the exception of a few"...this place has gone down hill.... Yes..there still are a few left that will help others and give good insightful gambling knowledge or info..but very few and far in between...

Simple reason to start a thread and try to get SBR to acknowledge this and do something about this..

Junk should be separated...I agree the think tank is good...but players talk should be separated for discussing gambling info...not if shari is going to the bash or how my fantasy team is..or if some chick is bang-able? "Not sure if that is even in the english language..but ok.." This is what the Saloon should really be for... Needs to be more controlled..

Check into the NASCAR forum, there is a great group of guys that help each other every week pick winners.

There is some garbage in this forum no doubt. Simple solution is not to open the threads. Having said that SBR has the best sports gambling forum on the web imo. If you do not like it here you can check out some of the other forums. Got a feeling you will be back.

Did you ever see my personal rules to gambling that could help other gamblings?
I posted the following multiple times on this forum.

1. Bankroll money management and Kelly Criterion. You should only be betting 1% to 10% of your total bankroll.
2. Do your research by watching game footage, finding useful trends and useful statistics.
3. Never bet on heavily juiced lines. Like a line at -1000 for example.
4. Never bet on heavily valued lines. Like a terrible team at 100 to 1 odds to win championship.
5. Teams with home field/court advantage tend to win games.
6. Be a strategic gambler by picking your spots and wait for the right opportunity. Never be an impulsive gambler by betting for the action, just because it feels good or it's your favorite team. Patience is virtue.
7. Stay emotionless all the time. Bet like a robot. There's no place for emotions in this profession.
8. Parlays should be no longer than 2 teams, the bigger the parlay is, the bigger the House Edge. Research and Secure your first pick before moving on to your second pick.

10. Never bet on double digit road favorites. You will lose in the long run.
11. Always make your bet near game time. Players could get injured during the week before game time.
12. Sportsbook have an edge on the NFL than the NCAAF because they can focus on the 32 NFL teams but cannot focus on the hundreds of NCAAF teams.
13. Never deposit money for sportsbook bonus money that requires rollover. You are immediately juiced before you even placed your first bet.
14. Never bet on preseason games on any sport. Predicting a 2nd string and 3rd string team is stupid.
15. If you are extremely impulsive, arrogant and biased. The best advice is to "Don't Gamble".
16. Never gamble if you are drunk, sleepy, hungry, depressed or angry.

Baseball forum is has some good peeps. Players talk is like the NVG on 2p2 only on SBR.

If you went to 2p2 and only went to nvg you would insta quit it. unpeel the onion a little and you will find the right people with a strong odor of success.

Or you can stick to players talk with JJ and the degens. But don't call JJ a degen, call him....

I try to be honest with my "touting". If I make a video of a mma wager... It usually does well.

I get a little pumped up for larger wagers....

My larger mma plays dont happen every day, only around 3-5 per year. But I still come in here for some entertainment as I love all sports.
