it's time to abolish 401k plans
They are not working for those they are intended to benefit: employees saving for retirement. They are working great for brokers, advisors, recordkeepers and others who "serve" these plans.

you slaves will learn, these plans are straight garbage.but you as caucasoids, and those caucasoid loving american negro's,will soon learn wealth is going to a small amount of people in this country(ashkenazi)....................." A GAINT SKIMMING OPERATION FOR VENDORS TO THESE PLANS"...............WAKE UP SLAVES

TO THE RIGHTEOUS...............PEACE BE UNTO(UPON) YOU

TO THE WICKED AND MISCHIEF MAKERS............................FIRE FOR YOU

Typical commentary. Complain about the shortcomings of a current system, but offer no solution. Bottom line is that without 401k, those people would likely save nothing, and its not as if Social Security is in any better position to help people retire. The people with low balances need to be responsible for contributing to their savings, but that newly financed Escalade is more important than deferring some money for your future.

you must be one of these bloodsucker(ashkenazi).save your own money stop putting money in 401k plans(my opinion ) lest you understand how to trade for yourself.

example: if you make 25,000 after taxes say it takes 15k a year to run your house save the other 10k a year
after 40 years you have 400k in saving plus your social security(if the bloodsuckers have not taken that also)

stop letting the bloodsuckers control your money.look also to take your money and leave this mutt country.look to live elsewhere like i'm going to do in the near future.this country is finish and i will not be around to see its complete end, there are 192 countries out here go find one.at the end of the article the man did say he will give solutions in the future.

to the righteous .........peace be unto(upon) you

        to the wicked .............fire

Do you understand the tax advantages of a 401k? If you are ignoring the impact of that (unless you really only make $25k, in which case you don't have to pay taxes) then you are missing a major reason for funding a 401k. Yes you can self administer an IRA, but at the end of the day a few basis points compared to the 28% tax bracket is a small price to pay to have somebody take care of it for you.

Yes sir, everything going into the 401k doesn't get pre-taxed. Add that to the compounding interest and the $10,000 a year for 40 years looks like chump change.

It wasn't the 401 vehicle that hurt Enron employees, it was their blind faith in a crook who convinced them to put all their eggs into one basket. Diversify and you greatly reduce the risk of something catastrophic happening. If you put it in an index fund (look it up) the management fees are minimal and the returns should beat fixed income investments. Nothing is guaranteed, but if a Dow indexed fund goes to zero, we have bigger problems than your 401k.

Recent regulations by the Department of Labor requiring more transparency in fee disclosures will put a band-aid on a massive hemorrhage. We need to cure the disease and not just identify the symptoms.

told you slaves i would post his solution,so here it is.i do not agree with this replace large fees with smaller fees,no thank you.
