What program is everyone using to share music (P2P)?
I used to use Frostwire to share/download my songs, but I tried using it today and it barely had people sharing any files, and the ones that did pop up were ads from lawyers and shit.

Are people using other p2P file sharing software, or is piracy dead?

    (Thanks for replies)

          Thanks guys.
Took me about 2 hours to figure out "torrents" but I believe I have it figured out.

No prob. Torrents take a little while to figure out so don't get discouraged if you don't fully understand it immediately, you will eventually. They work great.

demonoid and waffles are both private trackers (invite-only) so you won't be able to access those. here's a few of my favorite public trackers...

You could download albums on amazon for a quarter when they run their special.

MP3 Rocket is nice. It goes onto youtube and strips the audio off of music videos. Sometimes you get poor quality tracks, but just download another one and you'll be fine.

I've started ripping from youtube, if you search youtube to mp3 theres a bunch of free sites you could try. Used to use frostwire before that but I listen to quite a bit of the non-mainstream music hence I started getting it from youtube.

always check what file type you're downloading. anything other than mp3 (of course) avoid the site, and if it requires you to download a 'plugin' to make it work, it's also a scam site. Everything these sites do is server side, it should not ask you to download any client software.
