#75I thought you might say JD Salinger? Although it's understandable as Salinger lived a long life and Kurt's was cut way too short. Speaking of Salinger... I just found out about this a few years ago... but in the movie Field of Dreams the author that Kevin Costner sort of kidnaps "Terrence Mann" is based on JD Salinger. Good movie, great author.Comment -

it took awhile for this name to pop up. i'm 30 and this was the first person to have an impact on my immediate generation that died. i remember not really knowing a whole lot about experiencing death but being in shock the whole weekend after his death (died on a friday if i remember correctly).
others are notorious b.i.g. and tupac, i can still listen to those guys' shit and it's as good as when i first heard it. and recently the deaths that genuinely made me kinda sad were greg giraldo and ronnie james dio.
tony iommi has lymphoma and when he goes that will be a pretty sad day as well.Comment -
