    SBR I Need Incentive!
Hey guys, I don't really know how many of you guys really know me, but I need some help here. I've hit a fairly low point in my life and need a little help from you guys. I'm 21 and was a raging alcoholic for my 19th and 20th year of life. I don't drink at all anymore other than once every two weeks. For those of you who do know me or have read any of my posts, I'm pretty damn truthful in what I post unlike a lot of posters here.

What I'm trying to do is get together a few guys that can help me lose some weight. Lose weight through a forum you're thinking to yourself? I know this is going to sound incredibly sad, however, a lot of my best friends have either moved away onto bigger and better things, or are on internships out of state right now for the summer. I've been bored as can be and have kinda been an SBR forum whore for the last 3-4 weeks.

I've kinda turned to a few of you guys to talk to when sh1ts going bad or whatever and for that I thank you. However, to not blab on anymore than I already have I was wondering if a few of you would chip in a throw in a few points or something to help motivate me to lose at least 20 pounds in the next month or less. SBR points are like freakin' crack to me man...

I went into the doctor today and weighed an astonishing 303.4 lbs. I am 5'7" . Obviously insanely unhealthy. Without my close real life friends around it's really difficult to get motivated to get started.

Just a thought. If anyone is interested, I don't really know how I'd go about doing this. But I can promise you one thing, I will have updated photos at least twice a week on the exact same scale. I will take one tonight and post tomorrow because I can't really post it from my phone.

If this is one of the saddest posts you've ever seen; keep the trolling to yourself. I don't need that kinda crap in my life right now.

I suppose I kind of thought of something...
If I don't make my goal and anyone has decided to give any points as incentive before I actually lose the weight. I will return the points + 10%?

    Thanks everyone.

Here is video #1 for verification to all you guys questioning it.

I'm not a pro.........so I can't send many points, but am willing to toss a few your way from time to time.

You're still a very young man..........you've got lots of life ahead of you. Be strong, be the man you want to be, and take ownership of yourself. It's a learned behavior and in the beginning is truly a "one day at a time" type of thing. As I used to tell a younger cousin of mine on a daily basis........"make good decisions today". Each and every day you need to say to yourself......."make good decisions today". After a while.........you'll make good decisions without having to constantly think about it.

You can be the man you want to be, but you are the only one that can make it happen. The time is now.

Thanks William. I really appreciate it man. It's not even the points to me to be completely honest. It's to hear someone that knows absolutely nothing about me, who I am, what I look like say there's always hope to become who you want to be.

EDIT: Well... you don't totally know what I look like. Damn avatar .

I would send points but you'll probably just use them to buy pizza.

You should turn your mission into an ebook and make some good money while you're getting life back in order. So you're 300 lbs right now. Big deal, you can easily lose that. So after you get down to 200 lbs, you write an ebook on how you lost 100 lbs in x months, and you sell it. See, 2 goals in one. Lose 100 lbs, you'll feel a ton better about yourself, and you'll make quite a bit of money, because everybody will want to know how you did it (your diet, any supplements you took, the exercise routine you did, etc).

Do it. Don't think about it. Do it. You say that you're bored. Here's the perfect way to kill your boredom.

I'll make a deal with you......show verifiable proof of how much weight you can drop over the next month, and I'll give you a point for each pound.

                          Deal?

Creature.....I know you don't believe this, but your life is just beginning. Making significant changes in your life, i.e. weight, will never be easier than it is right now. This is 100% guaranteed fact. This nonsense about your friends not being around and whatnot is all whoreshit. You're not some baby that needs someone to remind you that you don't really need that 3rd sandwich.

You know what it takes to lose weight. If you don't, it's all on you. Let's see if you have the mental toughness to do what it takes......

                          Good luck, pal.

Where and when exactly is the bash? I suppose I could see if that's possible.
I finally got a damn job so I don't know how early I should be taking a "vacation," however, it's definitely a possibility.

I can absolutely make that happen Opie! I will take a quick...10-20 second video of me hopping on the scale once or twice a week and post it in this thread. Would that be cool?

Also, I can already tell that this is really something that could work! I am getting insanely excited, which is something that hasn't happened in ..... good lord ... 3-4 months?!

After separating both my shoulders, dislocating both my kneecaps, and tearing my ACL all through sports (wrestling and football) in high school I think losing weight would really make me feel like I'm 21 again. Instead of feeling like a 50 year old man already.

its all in your mental approach to food. fight the physical urge to eat with the mental willpower to detest it when you feel like a snack get a coffee and drink it slowly. Also cut down on your portions and slowly savor the food. you must be disciplined thats the key. good luck

owwwwwww I know that pain. I had a mountain bike accident last year that broke and dislocated my shoulder, and shattered my kneecap. That fukker hurttttttt bad, holy fukk. I think the physical therapy was way worse than the accident itself though.

Good luck to you. I am 5'9 and just a few months ago I was walking around at about 265 pounds. That was too heavy for me. I have always been an athlete and kind of just let myself go. Because I have a thick neck and very broad shoulders I couldn't tell I was putting on so much weight. I always held my weight pretty well and while I maybe thought I was bigger than I used to be I was shocked that I was up to 265.

I'm down to 220 now and look great and feel great. Got my muscles back and the ladies lovin! You can do it man. Don't give up and don't get discouraged. I dropped 50 pounds in just 3 months. Not only did I lose 50 pounds but I also toned my body in the process. Do it the right way. Eat plenty of food but eat healthier foods and the most important thing is lots and lots of exercise! Do exercises that you enjoy. That is also very important. If you don't like doing situps than do another ab exercise. If you don't like running then play basketball. You can do it! Everybody is different so it is very important that you find something that works for you and stick to it.

The reason as to why I thought of making this thread was because I actually went to the gym I signed up for 1 month and 1 week ago for the first time today. So bite your tongue buddy. I jogged 1.25 miles on the elliptical and lifted weights for about 35-45 minutes. That may not sound like a lot to any of you, however, I used to be a contender for state wrestling at the 215 weight class before I tore my ACL. So I know what it's like to be in good shape. After I tore my ACL I put on about 90 pounds and lost about 35-45% of my muscle...so yeah.

Thanks for the input Jordan23. It's a huge thing to get back some game with the ladies for me. Sadly enough...I'm not ashamed to admit to this but it's been 7 YEARS.......YES 7 years since I've last kissed a girl. Sad story but that's what I'm working with. Needa get back in the game.

Alright guys, to everyone that is helping me I thank you tremendously. I can already tell that this really is going to help motivate me. I will be getting a short video posted in the morning to verify weight to anyone that is considering continuing this. I have to get to bed now though to make sure I get up for work and still have some energy to get my butt into the gym again tomorrow.

You're not really in condition to do any cardio yet. The best thing you can do is walk three or more miles as many days a week as you can. It wil probably take you about an hour which is nothing with all the new smart phones and the music apps on them if you have one or even an iPod. I'd say before you been think about running you'd need to walk for at least a month. All running will do at this point is put you in positn to hurt yourself and when you can't run very far it will discourage you. Nothing wrong with walking.

Next thing...shave the beard. Your avatar freaks me out!
