It's OK to root against your favorite teams.

      good one diggity

my takeaways are always be humble and never be greedy

also in all my years when I have really won the biggest it’s always been on an underdog or parlay full of dogs

something cool I like to try on a sunday afternoon in the summer is take all the dogs for the 4pm and later MLB games parlay all the dogs

Don’t bet a lot of games and don’t get too big

Its a thought provoking question. What important lessons would one not learn if they never gambled.

You don't have to bet on every game there is. A lot of times betting one or two games you feel strongly about is better than a bunch of games that may just be a coin toss in your head.

Its pretty much like the decathlon.

                  From my experience you gotta:

                  - know how and why you bet on what you bet
                  - keep record of all bets. review performance, see what works, focus on those, eliminate all else.
                  - bankroll/stake management.
                  - keep volume low, yet bet what needs to be bet on. no fun bets. no parlays.
                  - discipline your emotions, your behaviour and all the above.

Generally I think, you cant make money on sportsbetting without loosing enough first in order to bother figure out the above.
All knowledge and lessons are paid for, in cash.
