got a new comp, somehow magically made it this far hooking up, but ive reached the end of the road on shit i can do myself

why the fukk is the audio coming out of the comp itself? that's as mind blowing as it is retarded, how do i get the audio to play through the tv?

I'm not exactly a nerd, but first you need to hook up the PC to your TV with an HDMI cable.
Also, I hope your PC has a decent sound card otherwise the audio wont play.


EDIT: with TV do you mean television, or do you mean computer monitor??

i just need to know the setting to tell it to stop playing out the goddamn comp and use the tv speakers

Go to the settings and then the sound part. If it's windows 10, right click on desktop, select display settings, then on the left under system click sound.

There should be a choice for output device.

Two ways, you can right click the screen and follow what I said above and it takes you to the video settings, then just click sound on the left side of that window.

Or click the window icon in lower left corner and the "gear" icon just above the power one is the settings. From there you need to click system, then sound on the left side.

You have to have the tv turned on and set to the correct HDMI input before your computer will detect it as an available sound output device.

Do that and then you will be able to select it in the drop down box.
