Mine tonight. Nice and oily, chocolato. Local vintage red wine kicker.
Like the maduros on occasion.

All you guys stating that Cubans are your favorite kind of cigars are smoking something else and not even realizing it. Easiest hustle there is to pull on guys who want the allure of smoking a cuban. Seeds have been dispersed to other countries, who have the same climate and soil types, so enjoy the fakes.

La Palina El Diario, Avo 85th anniversary, Illusione Epernay, Liga Privada no. 9 and t52 (Undercrowns are the only solid ones readily available now)Tatuaje mini mummy, My Father Gigars, Jaime Garcia Reserva 2011's or the recently released 2012, Emilio Grimalkin, Camacho Liberty 2012(although the regular Camacho corojo is a spectactular value and I smoke by the box), and of course the undeniable greatness of Padron Anniversary lines 1924 or 1964 maduros all compare favorably to Cubans.
Wish I had better access to Cubans, you can definitely get the authetic ones in TJ and Ensenada, they are pricier regardless of where you get them in the world. My favorites are Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure 2, Cohiba Behike and Esplendidos(especially aged ones), Partagas 898, Montecristo Petit Edmundos, and Ramon Allones Gigantes and specially selected.

TJ stand for Tijuana right? If so, do not buy Cubans there. Buying Cubans in Mexico is like buying TaylorMades in China.

There are obvious better cigars if you want to put up money but my daily smoke is a Arturo Fuentes Hemingway Short Story. Best 7$ stick out there.

Solid smoke, the CAO Traviata is also very good for around 5$ and those Camacho Corojos, owned by Davidoff now, are around 5-6$ by the box in Miami and are extemely good if you like a very strong, full bodied smoke, very Cubanesque flavors.
Truthfully you can find great deals at Cigars International on line. The past 2 weeks alone, I got Cabaiguan guapos for 5$, Guillermo Leon corona gordas for 4$, and Oliva V's churchills for 5.25$ a stick, incredible deals on highly regarded, usually much higher priced sticks.

Not if you go to La Casa del Habano or Sanborns, very reputable and authetic. Personally many Nicaragaun and Dominican cigars are as good as the average Cuban. The best Cubans are still the best cigars in the world, but they also carry a comensurate price tag 20-30$ usually.

From my experience, I would disagree. Same seeds, same climate, same soil conditions. This might not have always been true, but in my opinion, it is true today. The allure of Cohibas is what accounts for many peoples' opinion of them. I could take off the rings and no-one could tell the diff. from one of them and a dominican.

I think you over simplied the nuances of terroir. For the most part, you are correct, Cubans are no better. In fact, I would say other places, especially Nicaragua and DR, offer a much broader selection of better cigars at better value than Cuba.
However, I still feel the greatest examples of cigars still disproportionately come from Cuba. For an example of this upper echelon, try a Cohiba Gran Reserva or a Dunhill, these will set you back $100-1000/cigar though. Also the Montecristo A's and No 2's, Cohiba Esplendidos, and Punch Punch from the early 90's are all better than anything produced anywhere else.
It is like Burgundy in the world of wine, their greatest pinots are unmatchable, but on average their wines are overpriced and other regions offer much better bang for your buck and consistency. I personally can detect these highest quality examples blindly, as there is nothing as good in the world.

On my third order of cigars from cigars int. Bought another 20 5 Vegas Gold Maduro Toros and 10 Padilla Dominus Robustos.
So far the Dark Knight II and the Oliva Toro Maduros are my favs. Giving a few of the 5vegas golds to clients and poker guys.
As a forewarning, I did one of the upgrades that made me eligible for the free CI shipping and in my opinion it's not worth it, especially living in such a dry state. I prefer and recommend shelling out an additional $5-11 and getting them ASAP, in order to deliver them safely to the humidor. I also purchased their humidifying crystals and an electronic homogenator. FYI, they add water to the crystals before shipping and it creates a slight mess...just water. Wish they would let me add the water.

I agree Free!! Some of my favs. I have filled up my two humidors recently and bought a large tupperware container to hold my dailies. Not sure how a lot of you guys can smoke the Hemingways and presidentes...too much cigar for one sitting for me. Really like the mid-size smokes.
Still drinking Eagle Rare single barrel bourbon and can't see a reason to switch it up.

Cracked open some boxes I had put down for long term aging when I came back to the states for holiday. Some 2001 SD4's, 2004 Partagas serie du conn #3, and 2001 Bolivar pcs. All aged incredibly well. Took them back to Macau with me. Also grabbed the last of my Padron principe maduros.

Used to dig them but got a box that was rolled too tight and impossible to get a decent draw.
