non tippers are crummy people but anyone that tampers with food in a malicious manner deserves to get punched in the face and thrown in jail imo and I would hope other people would report them

i always tip and don't blame a waitress for being pissed. a better way to get back at them is to make them wait forever until they get the hint and leave.

No, she gets stiffed. That's irony.
I guess we have a different interpretation of irony. It could have been ironic without this line: "Normally I tip 20-25% but this bitch was way too happy for a Thursday and needed to learn that sometimes random shit happens and life is never fair." That's an admission that the writer is just trying to be a dick. I don't think buzzy is telling the truth, but I don't think he's accomplishing irony either.

Jello, you have to stop after "normally I tip 20-25%". The reader might be expecting, "but this time I gave 35% for her impeccable service".

The line you stressed is where the irony is.

Sickler, I'm not gonna debate about this like it's fvcking literature, but he gave away any chance at irony with the thread title. I guess I can see where you can make a claim, but it's definitely not good irony. And given the subject matter, I say fvck this thread. Sorry buzzy. You didn't make it this time.

I find it amazing that so many readers believe Buztah was being sincere.

FYI: It was a made up story to illicit a response.

It appears few here "get" BuztaH.

It's a sensitive subject for some of us. If you're going to joke about stiffing people who work for tips, it needs to be funny. Besides, I already said I don't believe buzzy's being sincere. He has more class than that.

Some things you just don't joke about. If I told a joke that started out "Shot a cop today".... and then proceeded to explain how he pulled me over but was super cool and was gonna let me go with a warning even though I was smoking a joint and drinking a beer, so I shot him in the gut just to teach him a lesson about cutting criminals slack..... well I don't think many cops hearing that joke would get the humor.

I have a twisted sense of humour. Not much is off limits.

The ironic situation you described prolly wouldn't be used for humour, but for shock value. Badass gangbanger killing a cop for no good reason.

No. Not if we were in person and I was telling you a joke. I'd never be mistaken for a gangbanger. I think the two examples are analogous, but I don't really care anymore. You Canadians have your laugh....

They get paid more in other countries, as far as hourly rate.

Hey, this would be a good place for a PSA to all our SBR brethren who live outside the US. Servers in our country (USA) only get paid $2.15 an hour. Please pass it on.

Had chicken cordon bleu, warm beet salad and white wine. Waitress refilled my water twice without me having to ask. Flawless, nay impeccable response time. Normally I tip 20-25% but this bitch was way too happy for a Thursday and needed to learn that sometimes random shit happens and life is never fair.

Asked for the check, left exactly thirty dollars and eight five cents on the table and walked down the road to treat myself to a much deserved cigar and Globe n Mail.
You deserved that cigar far more than she deserved a tip.

They're lyrics have always cracked me up Shorty. Sorry if you are a big fan or anything, but these guys are so pretentious. "Give me some FVCKIN Change!"......or better yet, "Her placenta....fell.... to the floor".

It would be awesome if I thought they were trying to be funny, but they really take themselves that seriously.

I waited on tables back in my high school and college years. Food and drinks are definitely tampered with for certain clientele. Some of the things that I saw done to food and drinks still makes me queasy.
