Congrats man, for better or worse, that is fantastic news. My wife and I just had our first (and hopefully only; I'm willing to roll the dice on the only child [unplanned at that]...) boy less than a month ago. We've been together and married for about 6 years, I'm an actuary/Military and she's an RN, own a house, all that jazz...but I still sat her down when we first found out and had the talk to whether or not this was something we wanted. She told me at the end of our conversation that we both agreed this was for the best for us... Let me tell you - the next three months will really tell you how much you love her. A pregnant woman with morning sickness (which doesn't always come in the morning), who is in a constant mood, is a treat to deal with. But there is a light - the second tri-mester brings better days! Also being there for your woman as she goes through labor...that is going to be something. My only advice would be to follow the baby once he's born (when they clean him/her and stuff). Don't stick around for the stitch-up or anything else that comes out of your woman, it will be for the best for both of you.

When my son was born, I won like my next nine bets, and I used to tell my wife that he was our good luck charm. The natural 9-game losing streak followed, and although he may not be a good luck charm...there is nothing like the joy of holding your child, and looking forward to passing on the values and morals that mean the most to you.

In sum:
Next 3 months = hell
Labor = Follow the baby
Once he's born, post your next 10 plays.
Bonus advice for if you have a boy: When you go registering for the baby shower, you will see little cups that look like athletic cups. They go over his pecker when you are changing him, and prevent him for pissing all over the place. It's worth the investment. It took like three times of my kid peeing all over his face and changing station before we broke down and got it.

Lots of good and bad advice, typical Sbr thread. Winner, your a good guy and this probably your best shot at a family even if the kid might not be yours pal. So go at it heart full of hope and mind open to all possibilities. The subtlety of the journey complete with life's little nuances is what makes this time before birth precious.

If I can give you only a few words of advice it is to always take a moment, step back, and then with lack of fear; communicate to her exactly how you feel or what you want. So often we spend relationships coasting by thinking things are great but really not expressing our needs. This woman now has your little one in her, that's a gift you can't express till you hold it in your hands. So everytime she pisses you off ask yourself, do you want to fukk it all up by not talking or do you want to man up and tell her what she did in your opinion?
