I don’t live in a hut but that really wouldn’t be so bad to me. When I was in Thailand and Cambodia a few years ago I did live in huts just steps from the ocean. I still live steps from the ocean currently but in the Caribbean but not huts. I do enjoy my outdoor shower and my daily swims in the cool blue clean ocean. To each his own I guess. There isn’t even a traffic light in the country and there are more donkeys than people. Longtime Democratic politician Don Walko wrote a letter bad-mouthing President Trump (“Backing Biden for president,” Sept. 24, TribLIVE). Kenneth Powell wrote a letter about several true American heroes (“Military heroes not losers, suckers,” Sept. 28, TribLIVE).

The letters said “according to reports” and Trump “supposedly said” deceased veterans are “suckers” and “losers.”

These words were allegedly spoken when the president was in Paris with the first lady June 7 for a D-Day memorial service.
