Surprised that governments would allow illegal activity behind the scenes? No. The 2 patents were not surprising and those have been known about for years. It's the host of the other patents and how they were handled and hidden surrounding coronaviruses and treatment that may be surprising to some who believe everything concerning this pandemic involving governments, big pharma and the rest of the actors is completely on the up and up. I think some did. And think the side effects are worse than previous vaccines. And that they did not work as well as previous vaccines.
