#598there are always idiots and there will always be idiots. Trump was called everything from a racist to a Russian spy to a xenophobe to a misogynist to a sexual predator to a murderer. Still is being called that by the same idiots.
America isn't perfect but its done more for civil liberties and human rights than almost any other nation.
Obama started off his presidency by accusing a White cop of being a racist. Or did you forget Beergate already? Obama was elected 2 times and could have united the country more than any president in history, but he didn't. He did the opposite. I have said it before many times, I think Obama was a good man. He is smart, good looking and funny too. He had the MSM eating out of his hands. But like so many politicians before him, its always about power and power corrupts. He was sucked into the proverbial Washington swamp and couldn't get out. Some will argue, as will I, that Obama was the most divisive president ever.
Trump on the other hand, he didn't give a fukk. He took them all on. Washington, dems, republicans, FBI and the media. He exposed them all. That is why so many loved the guy and that is also why the scumbags hated him.
But the difference between my examples and yours are that the examples I've listed and can list pre-date yours. Yours are all after Obama was in the WH and Pres. And maybe they're valid. I wont even argue your points, I'll accept them as valid.
But what Im talking about are clear indications of racial tension from Republicans and Southern whites that began when Obama was running and they intensified after he won.
And its important to understand it all started there. And it wasnt just a few knuckleheads, it was a lot of fukking people, politicians included.
Part of our country wasnt ready for a black President and no matter what he did, he could not have unified our country. Merely his presence in the WH was causing divisionComment -

#600Thats why I was pointing out there are two sides to that discussion. I only threw out a few examples but theres more. If I listed them all it would be a waste of time as your response would be "ya but look at my 50 examples"

The media and politicians are they ones dividing us. They are doing it with Covid as well. The president and VP both said they won't get the jab if Trump said to. Trump didn't do that. They did. They do it for power and ratings. Washington has evolved into a cesspool of angry losers who are only capable of using the race card and the blame game rather than what they were elected for. Which is to serve all the people they represent. Yes, there are a few exceptions on either side but its dwindling every year.
This present administration is absolutely the most incompetent we have ever seen. It's an embarrassment. Not surprisingly I guess because when you hire people based on diversity and wokeness rather competence, you are gonna fail.
Remember when fake news and tards kept mocking Trump when he fired another person or someone else quit in his administration? My thoughts were that it was a great thing. If its not working, find another person until you find one that fits. The sooner the better. Why wait? If you are the owner of a NFL team, don't you do the same? But suddenly, the fake news wants to tell you not to hire the best. As if somehow appearance is more important. When you get on a plane, do you care what color the pilot is? No, you care if they are the most qualified to fly the plane. Do you care if there are more of one color of players on your favorite football team? Basketball team? No, you just want the best players so that you can support a winner. When you have to go into the hospital, do you care how many nurses are of a certain skin color? Sadly, in all those example, there are people who do care.
We are off topic in this thread.Comment -

#602Dwight - That video accentuates how much of a dick that unvaccinated guy is. He first lied to get in the restaurant by saying he was vaxxed, then when asked for his card, he changed his tune and said he didn't have it because he was religiously exempt. Then he doubled down by saying they are not Americans and they suck for not serving his kids. It's people like him that is ruining the globe. Totally selfish pricks that only care about themselves. They don't even care about their kids. Lock him up.Comment -

All the sudden its like they have once again flip-flopped on an issue
No shirts, no shoes, no service... No problem for decades
Then covid happens and the trump crowd took his snake oil sales pitch to heart and when small businesses decided it was "no shirts, no shoes, no mask, no vaccine, no service" Well all the sudden they feel as if their "personal freedoms" have been infringed upon
Trump fukkd up a whole generation or two of backwards thinking white Americans
They're gonna face consequences foe many years, maybe decades, to come because they drank his kool-aidLast edited by The Kraken; 09-16-21, 12:29 PM.Comment -

But I’m sure if they enforce the policy, my guess is their employees must follow the same policy.Comment -

We have these passport things starting up here soon and many restaurants are saying they won't enforce it because many of the people that work aren't vaccinated. This whole thing is just comedy. Restaurants have suffered tremendously and now they will have to be cops as well.Comment -

#616Actually it's totally relevant. You can't tell everyone to be vaccinated in your business but your employees aren't or some aren't. That defeats the purpose right? You want your waitress to be unvaccinated?

If they are concerned with the health and safety of other customers and their employees, I’m sure they are requiring vaccination for their employees as well. Either way, they don’t owe you an explanation to kick your out of a place they own.Comment -

#626Even though fully vaccinated people are spreading the disease, they are blaming the unvaccinated for this fully vaccinated woman's death. Sounds like they are making excuses because the vaccine didn't work.
Obituary blames unvaccinated people for woman’s death: ‘The cost was her life’
The Covid death of a fully vaccinated 66-year-old Illinois woman was caused by those who chose not to get inoculated, her family has said in an obituary.
Candace Cay Ayers, who was from Springfield, Illinois, was the mother of two and the grandmother of three children. She had been fully vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine in March, but died on 3 September after contracting a breakthrough infection.

#629I don’t have accessibility to every employee records so of course it’s an educated guess. It’s also irrelevant though. They can choose that they just want customers vaccinated. It’s the business owners decision to refuse service.Comment -

#630From a legal perspective businesses are within their right to decline service to people because they aren't vaccinated. The general rule per the 5th and 14th a!and ment is you can discriminate based on race, class, or religion, so this kind of action declining service to people who aren't vaccinated is allowable under federal law. I don't agree with it but its legal under federal law.
State and local laws could cast nd protection to unvaccinated people though, and their is no way to prove someone is vaccinated without a blood test.Comment
