Alex has created quite a storm within the Democratic Party. Most grounded people on the right and left thinks she is really dumb, crazy... or both. She has grabbed almost all the attention, and the Democrats realize she will not help their party move forward... but almost all of them are scared to talk honestly about her and her green new deal.
So if you have looked beneath the surface, you have learned she basically answered a casting call for a (supposedly) left political action group that recruited her and a few others to run for house seats in districts they determined were ripe for the taking. She has no prior political experience, and has no footprint whatsoever being active in politics in any regard. They filed the paperwork for her to run, and the rest is history.
