There comes a point in some people's drinking/drugging careers that it starts to interfere with every day life. They have tried to moderate - only drink red wine, only drink beer, just two fingers of bourbon a night, marijuana maintenance program, etc etc. They know it's a problem but they can't quite drink like a gentleman.

If you get to that point where you feel like you are on a hamster wheel and can't get off, there is a solution. Most people don't want the solution though. The good news is that despite assertions to the contrary, you can live a life that is fun and full of joy without drugs or booze.
