          i started buying butter lettuce which is very similar to iceburg and a little better for u, i know yall don't eat outback in australia but i love there blue cheese wedge salad where they cut in half a iceburg head and top it with red onions blue cheese bacon bits tomatoes and blue cheese dressing and balsimic vinegar

            Yeah, that's a perfect use for iceberg.

            Thai Beef Salad is another good one for lettuce.

            Outback steak house do a good job of simulating Aussie food. You're right that almost nothing on the menu is actually known in Australia, but for a country without much in the way of it's own traditional cuisine. Outback do a good job of coming up with stuff that feels Aussie.
