US weekly jobless claims drop to a near 49-year low
The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits fell to a near 49-year low last week, pointing to sustained labor market strength, which should continue to underpin economic growth.

      True...

Last administration went out of their way to keep people on unemployment and then say Jobs were never coming back. A 'New Normal' so dont look for work

However: This news is encouraging -- 49 YEAR Low

Yup, lazy people don't like to work.. They'd rather go on the welfare and stay on it instead... Stay home, make babies, drink alcohol and do drugs... A few like to gamble too ...

        Nothing to see here...

When Obama came into office the unemployment rate was at around 6.8%, when he left office it was at 4.1% and continuing to fall. Not sure how you came to your conclusion.

Communists and marxists (the enemies of western civilization) love to keep people permanently on the government teets.
Less regulation, tax cuts and just overall less government interference in people's lives makes individuals and workers more happy, especially the lower middle class. Why should someone bust their hump making 13 dollars an hour while lazy do nothings make more sitting around plopping out babies and doing drugs.
There is nothing wrong with a safety net when people truly NEED IT. But there are too many people who rely on Mommy Government to live a lifestyle that third worlders would only dream of.
