Without knowing the person in question, it sounds like there are self-esteem issues.
Sounds like you can reasonably take care of her dental problem at a nominal fee.

I believe that you have mentioned that you are a hair-dresser or own a beauty salon.
Perhaps you could get your co-workers/employees to give this depressed woman a make-over.
I've seen women on TV snap out of a funk once they received a pampered, glamorous treatment.


(Psychiatric help may be the better option but that is a costly process w/o medical insurance.)

Why not just go for a "regular checkup" and the dentist should tell her what that is. Regular cleaning shouldn't be more than 300 bucks and the dentist can share her concerns(if any).

Regular cleaning will be good but if she hasn't had one in ages, it may be the "deep cleaning" which is a price gouge.

My city has a community health center for those with low income. Supposedly the costs are less and I've heard them advertise free dental cleanings every once in a while. Might want to check if there's a place like that around you?
