graphics 500x better then nintendo and you just pick up the controller and play

Just did this with a Wii U. Kind of a PITA but it's cool after you do it. Loaded up Mario and every Zelda game out there.

Why did you buy it than? Just get two controllers for your pc and install a NES emulator.

Also read those new NES controller cords are too short.

I go the custom emulation route myself but the NES classic has a decent game selection with the odd exclusion of Ice Hockey. That game was EXTREMELY popular and was created by Nintendo (no licensing issues) so it's odd that they didn't include it.

Get a Raspberry Pi and put Retropie on it. Basically every game you can imagine, easy to do and works like a charm.
