so a gun in your back pocket means you're guilty? Do you have the right to bear arms in your own yard? I don't know everything about this case but the police was responding to loud music and ends up shooting a man in his own garage? Let me guess the color of the dead man? Unbelievable how the police go on joy rides, shooting people dead wherever they go.

One day, citizens are going to shoot the police first.

The fact that this was a federal court jury jumped out at me.
It was in Florida (St Lucie County).
The shooter, Deputy Newman, was found 1% liable. 1%!!
              How is that even possible?

The $4 ($1/$1) award is stupid crazy. There has to be some very persuasive courtroom
testimony/evidence which the article did not mention.
All that they mentioned was loud music was reported, unloaded gun in victim's back pocket
and the victim trying to close the garage door.
Time to dig into court records and make a report of my findings if possible.

Fukking racists. Knew it would be White on Black before even clicking on the OP link.

Gregory Hill Jr, a 30-year-old black man, was fatally shot by Christopher Newman, a white deputy with the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, at his home in Fort Pierce, Florida

juries are now awarding insult money and are too stupid to give correct percentages. i guess juries truly are representational of the general public. i just got a notice for jury duty too.

Whats the point of having a gun if you can't use it to protect yourself from the government in your own home?
