Welcome to the rat race of life in the big city people.. That's the short version summary to that video..
I'll tell you guys the happiest people I ever met in my life time were in a small remote village deep in Costa Rica which I river rafted to down a rain forest for half a day.. These people had nothing and lived in mud and straw huts.. They welcomed me and a few of my friends to stay and we took up the offer. I was amazed at how happy these simple people were compared to the rich millionaires I knew back at home.. Simple people doing simple daily chores to survive..
It was an eye opener for me back in my mid 20's.... This small village was hit a year earlier by a Christian ministry by the way and that had something to do with it also... Just what I needed at that time in my life. I had a new out look on life after spending a few weeks in this remote village full of dirt poor happy village people living off the land..
True story I kid you not.. Money doesn't create true happiness in life it's other things. This comes from a guy that does have money today..Comment -

As Jibby pointed out, yes- that lifestyle can be rewarding in its simplicity. I had a similar experience in rural Spain with a modern gypsy camp.
However
There is something to be said for having an ice cold Coca Cola, puffing a stogie and watching a ball game in the comforts of one's own home...and that takes modern society. Now- modern society would have much less stress and anxiety if, politically speaking, it'd stop taking from some and giving to other by force of law, because that is in essence what the tribes and gypsy communities do, and the point of civilized society is to evolve beyond that, so we can enjoy the benefit of our labor.
It's a simple solution, live within your means, and don't ask the gov't or the neighbor for money, and the rat race will slow to a happy pace, for all.Comment -
