    Are rappers soft nowadays?
Remember when rap feuds were tough and respected?

    Tupac vs Biggie
    NWA vs Ice Cube
    Jay Z vs Nas
    East Coast vs West Coast

But now... now we have Kanye West vs Taylor Swift.

    Taylor Fukkin Swift.

    How embarrassing is this?

    I don't get it.

There is still beef. Just not as well publicized.

Main stream rappers used to be thugs. Now they are fashion designers.

    Times change dangles.

Even Ice Cube has gotten main stream, doing corny family films. As soon as anyone goes main stream,it loses that grit that made it special.

Why is anybody counting Taylor Swift as rap? We need to clear this up first.

The same people that are saying how soft rappers are now are the same ones who complained when the "tough guy" rappers called women bitches and rapped about violence. Pick a side.

Trap is the gangsta rap of this decade, like it or not. You don't like swag, you don't like get-money, you don't like trap, when are you going to be happy? Rap isn't going back to flow and record-scratching anytime soon fellas. Sorry.

Rappers act in whatever way sells records. Back in the late 80'- early 90's everybody got into gangs and gangster rap, so these Compton kids rapped about the street. Then that got stale and went away. Then the clubbing/fancy cars lifestyle got glamorized so rappers rapped about popping bottles and banging girls in the club.

It's all a ruse. Very few rappers that made it big were ever simply gangbangers; christ I'm more of a thug then TuPac was. His mom had him reading Shakespeare, poetry, and Black Panther political literature in his childhood and he studied at the Baltimore School of the Arts. His problem was falling in with the wrong crowd later on.

I stopped listening after the mid 90s. When I hear what my son plays now (kanye, weekend, drake (ugh that voice)lil wayne john wayne whotever the fcuk they are, I just shake my head. Miss the days of NWA, DOC, Ice Cube (pre-sellout), Ice-T and Public Enemy.
Hey Drake/Kanye, repeating the same word 8 times over and over doesnt constitute a passable lyrcal verse.

I just locked in my kanye tickets thanks to SBR! He plays about 30 songs so he will play all of his olds jams and I can just zone out when he plays his black skinhead lol
