Not worth it. Lots of buffering unless you have super high speed Internet. Not alot of HD options so you will get low quality feeds. Needs updated quite a bit. Would only use as last option if can't of Ford cable or satellite

Same thing. Limited HD options. If you don't mind that then it's not an issue

It's expensive but if your a winning gambler you should be able to afford it.

No buffering at all here. I've had my Firebox for over a year now with NO issues. I get absolutely everything including all live sports from all over the world, movies before they even come out to the theaters, and anything that gets streamed anywhere.

You do need a fast internet connection. I have the Quantum Router from Verizon Fios.

Yes but HD options are limited you don't always get the best feeds and you will need to update your stick or box quite a bit and if you don't know what your doing it.can be very confusing

Anyone with an IQ of 50 can learn to master the Fire Tv in a week or two. I get HD on almost everything I watch. Once you learn where to go get the best feeds, it is pretty easy.

I get no buffering, HD movies on almost every movie. Free PPV. Loaded with porn. It's Netflix on steroids. I sell them if anyone is interested. Boxes and sticks.

If you bet year round. Like i do. You need something like firestick or multiple sports cable subscription to watch the games you bet on.

Last year i had subscriptions too. Nfl ticket, extra innings and center ice.

Btw: dont forget the Grey Goose vodka.

BobbyWaves should check in and give his opinion

It certainly isn't plug and play if you want QUALITY. Some of these guys on this board I question. Yes, we all want things for cheap and/or free. But... in my opinion some of the video transmission is poorer than Standard Definition... and that's bad.

In my opinion... no fukking way could you have large amounts of $ on a game.... and the feed buffers on you and/or completely stops forcing you to find another source.

There are many vids on YouTube about this... some Very Experienced Programmers as well.... and they don't have HD on everything.

The only thing that is consistent.... Movies come in at 720p (majority of them) and 2 channel audio. No 5.1 surround sound.... etc.

You can pick one up at Ebay with all the fancy bells and whistles.... for around $130

I purchased 2 at best buy and programmed 1 of them myself... leaving the 2nd unopened. I spent about 20 hours combined on it... programmed everything myself... and wasn't satisfied at all.

I didn't purchase the sticks. I purchased the boxes. I felt that the box would be more reliable.... but not so much.

Yes...I'm very satisfied with my jailbroken Amazon FireTv box. I get all the content I need: sports, movies, world tv channels, porn, with quality picture at $0.00/month. Can't beat the price. You don't even need a high speed internet for quality non buffering feeds. If you have an HD tv, you should spend the extra $ on a box instead of stick.

It is Android operating system, like the firestick.

You do not need to jailbreak anything.

You need to be able to load an apk file from a third party. It's different than rooting your device.

Firestick gets a lot of 1080p content but if you want 4k then the fire box is the ticket.

These things are all just tools in the toolbox. If I had large money on a ppv I would spring for the 50 bucks. I don't care to get hbo or Showtime just to watch GoT or Ray Donovan though. I'll just stream that shit.

One last thing...unless you have an infinite amount of time to kill, don't build a kodi profile on your own. Get Ares Wizard and choose from one of the many builds that someone has already put the time into.

Jake is correct. Technically not jailbroken at all. It's considered a third party app.

                                                            Don't tell amazon that though.

                                                              1. If ebay is selling these things for $130 and they work 100% properly... why is it only $130? Seems pretty low.

                                                              2. With all the posters claiming that they get everything at 1080p... and it works non-stop... no issues etc. Why aren't you trying to sell these things with a guarantee at Ebay for $400 or $500? You could EASILY get that price with GREAT QUALITY. You should be buying these things at $100 at bestbuy... and selling them and making huge profits.

That's why I question some of these posts. It's not fool proof. Sites go down. Quality isn't that good.
