Could Fat Albert ever air in today's PC Society?

Fat Albert was one of those classic 70's, and 80's cartoons created by Bill Cosby. Forget about Bill's current sex scandal. Even though it was suppose to be an educational type cartoon, a show with the word Fat in the title, not to mention the Cosby Kids being a bit stereotypical. I'm sure the over-reactive, oversensitive, PC Libs would light a riot fire if it aired today.

Actually now that I think about it, a lot of the 80's cartoons would never fly today.

My favorite Fat Albert episode was the Scared Straight episode when the Junkyard Gang went to jail. I remember in the beginning of the episode Bill Cosby issued a warning that there was going to be some bad language in it. The inmates were howling at the kids and one of the inmates said that he could smell Fat Albert.

I could see the show getting a bunch of flak if it just started today. Especially with characters like Mushmouth, Rudy the hustler... even Fat Albert. I was just reading about the show on wiki and had to laugh about one of the lines I saw:

"The producers wanted NBC to bring Fat Albert to Saturday mornings, but the network programming managers refused because the series was too educational."

too bad cosby didn't have the characters be more realistically based on him, as that would have made an awesome show.
