I woke up with red bumps on my neck Tuesday morning. How do I detect Bed bugs?

I have 4-5 red bumps on my neck since tuesday. I inspected my mattress earlier for bed bugs but i dont know if i found any evidence so i turned the lights off amd got a flashlight. I didnt really see anything except a few ants and small brown stains. Anyone here know how to test for bedbugs?

If its persistent id go to the doctor. It is related to immunity. There are anti virals you could try.
I had it when i got mono, its basically the chicken pox which stays in your body and reactivates if you are sick/stressed.

No i went and the nurse said she believes it to be shingles but the doctor isnt sure so i have to come back for a follow up appointnent. Shingles is common in older people over 60 but it could happen at any age. I had pneumomia as a 12 year old so maybe that has weakend my immune system and made me more prone to this?
