what city/country should i go to in europe

planning on going summer of 2014, late july or early august, somewhere in that time frame.

last time i was over there i went to london in 2006, liked the city, but i will not be going there this time around.

have some possibilities but im open to suggestions, im 31 and single, my one friend who is a little older and single is going with me.

Depends what you're looking for. Italy will blow your mind (history, scenery, great food & terrific weather ), Greece great too.

spain: whole country sounds crazy, was there when i was younger so would rather not go there.

amsterdam: seems like overrated tourist trap, i admit it was higher up on my list when we first decided to do this.

prague: this feels like a good possibility, i hear that it is more of a university type of city so it might be a bit dead in late july/early august. has anyone been there that time of year??

its pretty much gona be limited to one city/country probably about 10 days or so.

I would not go to Kopenhagen or Stockholm for 10 days. Small cities, not worth such a long trip. You'll have seen everything in 2-3 days, honestly. Don't get me wrong - GREAT cities, but more for a weekend trip.

For +-10 days I'd really consider Paris or Barcelona. You can easily spend a week or more there and still have things to do and to see.

Go to Prague in Czech republic. Best value for the buck. Most of the other popular western European cities are way overpriced. Prague is an old city and has a lot of historic buildings. It is somewhat of poor mans Rome. Great if you are single because amazing bars, clubs and even casinos. During the day you can walk around and see amazing architecture, take great photos, minble in local places. By night you can party by hitting some great bars, clubs and casinos. Good looking girls too. Overall you can do a lot more and even get better quality stuff for the money that you would spend in paris/rome or other popular destinations. People say how paris/rome is amazing for food but most of the places are crap overpriced quality because most tourists are clueless. In rome and paris you have to know the hidden gems to get good food or to go to the grossly overpriced top end restaurants. In paris the best restaurants are in the outskirts.

I have been to all escept Marseille and kpenhagen. Praha/prague is the best for two single guys. Brughes is a 2 day city....very small but very beautiful....nothing to day there...its a good place to go with your significant other when you are older...not a place to go with two single buds.

They are singles. If they pick up some local hotties (all they need is some broken english) or even travelling hotties, there will be plenty to do. 10 days will fly by.

As I said, I love Prague. But I would easily choose Barcelona (especially in the summer) over Prague, any day of the week. Party at night, day at the beach (if you want), lots of culture (if you want), the people there are absolutely easy going (a lot more than in Prague). Chicas are beautiful (of course they are great in Prague as well, no doubt, but no beach) A billion parties all over the city, especially during this time of the year.
