Post in this thread your true, real life scary stories that happened to you or someone you know.
I'll start.
Christmas Eve 1989.
Me and a friend just got finished attending Mass at our local Church. We're walking down the street and we're getting to a corner of a four way intersection. Very dark with the only light coming from street lamps.
We're talking and making our way home. Suddenly, we see a figure moving up to the corner to the intersection.
As we're coming up on the figure we can make out that it's a woman. We're walking towards her and at this point she is on course to walk right past us.
We're coming up onto the corner and she walks up and is now only a few feet away from us. She stops. We're looking at her. She looks like a typical elderly woman with some sort of scarf around her head and an overcoat on.
She speaks. "Excuse me, but would either of you have anything to spare?"
I look at my friend and he looks at me. It's Christmas. Whether the spirit of the holiday got to me or I was feeling bad I don't know but I reached into my pocket and pulled out a $10 bill and gave it to her.
I told her it was all I had on me as I just got done going to Mass and giving the rest I had to the Church.
She thanked me and with that I turned ask my friend if he had any money money on him for the lady.
When I turned around, she was absolutely gone.
Me and my friend both looked at each other. We were like wtf just happened?
She was just gone.
Where the fukk did she go? We're standing on the corner of a four way intersection. She's an old woman. It's not like she could have run away.
Well my friend gets the chills and says fukk this I'll see ya later and he starts running home. Fukkin prick just took off and left me walking by myself.
When I got home I didn't say anything to my family. Me and my friend sometimes talk about that incident and to this day it still makes us wonder.
Another one I got for ya.
I got a friend who's a construction worker. Typical Philly guy, straight up , no bullshit.
Me and him are drinking in our local bar one day. He says to me out of nowhere "do you believe in ghosts?"
I'm like I don't know. They could be real, I don't have a closed mind. He says well I got a story for ya. Happened when I was a kid maybe 17 at the time.
He said you remember back in the day when Columbus Boulevard was nothing but dirt and tracks when we would play there and get in trouble?
I'm like how the fukk could I forget? He says well one night I was down there by the water by myself (by the water means the delaware river).
He says I don't know what made go all the way down but I ended up by the pier right on the water.
I said to him what the fukk were you doing all the way down there? He says I don't know, I just felt like being out and by myself I guess.
He says so anyway, I'm just there looking down at the water, it's very dark out must be around 10 o' clock or so with very few lights.
He says I get a strange feeling and look over to my left. He says dude I swear to God, there's a fukkin green mist rising up from the fukkin ground and it's coming towards me.
He says something tells me to run for my life. He starts running as fast as he can and the mist is actually following him.
He says dude this thing was fast. He says I ran all the way across the train tracks from the pier, across the boulevard, and it was still giving chase.
He says when I finally got under the bridge it stopped following me.
He says it was by far the scariest thing that ever happened to him. To this day, he's reluctant to talk about, especially when there's lots of friends around.
