I love my Fly Me brothers more than I do my own blood relatives!
Because God knows nobody can screw you over like family.
That's why I love dogs, they'll never screw you over.
Back at 'ya amigo,
Happy 2021, can't shit the bed like 2020 did, so at least we got that going for us.

Has this ever happened before??

The KVB NCAAB Technical Value Fund has picked up...
657
1-Jan
TULSA +4.5
I think we moved this to 3.5. I originally tried to get 6 and Circa but ended up with 5.
I think it's going to be 3.5 everywhere, which is probaby the number I should be posting now. I'm debating what to do here and that debate will influence the closing line result that's posted.
Make me think about not posting these anymore, it's kind of a pain in the ass.
But 3.5 is still a viable bet here. In fact, any underdog spread will be.

Considering that just moments after that the offensive and defensive lines lined up facing each other a yard apart.
Another one of these wierd precautions.

As you are well aware I'm the biggest Giants homer on these here forum boards.
I was in Junior High School in 1985 when one of the greatest defenses ever 'Da Bears played Big Blue in a NFC divisional playoff game.
Game was at Soldier Field, and the weather was nasty as fuk. Like 60 mph gusts off the lake making it feel like 100 thousand degrees below zero with the wind chill factor, McMahon couldn't throw the ball for shit in that (come to think about it when could McMahon ever throw) and neither could Phil Simms. You couldn't throw the ball that day, and sure as hell could not kick the ball in that crap.
Any-hoo.
Scoreless tie in the first (remember now, us Giant fans remember these things) Chicago has the Giants pinned deep around the end zone like the 14 or 18 yard line something like that)
We had a real good punter (all Parcells teams had very good special teams, he was big on special teams)
Sean Landeta. Landeta was a named first team all pro several times, he was in the league over 20 years. (he and Rick Roby were the best punters in that 1980's era)
Like I said, the winds were like a hurricane in Chicago, and like I said the Bears had us pinned deep.
The snap from the long snapper ( I don't remember who, nobody has that great a memory) catches one of those lake gusts and the ball virtually wobbled because of the wind to Landeta, when Landeta transferred the ball from hand to his foot, the wind caught of the ball again.
Landetta whiffed on that punt, barely grazed his kicking foot.
THE PUNT WENT BACKWARDS for negative seven yards.
The Bears dude (I think it was Galve) scooped it up and ran it in from the Giants five yard line for a 5 yard punt return TD.
That was the only score in the first half, Bears went to the half up 7-0, shutout the G-Men, final 21-0.
It didn't matter, no QB short of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was going to beat that Bear defense in 1985.
To this date that sequence is the answer to two trivia questions.
Who holds the NFL record for the shortest punt?
Answer is Sean Landeta. (negative seven yard punt)
And who holds the record for the shortest punt return for a TD
Answer is Shaun Galve (5 yard TD punt return)

Mac has that certain leadership quality.
A trait or characteristic that money can't buy.
You can't teach somebody how to be a leader from a test book in college.
And sure as hell can't buy it either.
It's like grace.
Either you have grace, or you don't have grace.

I can't stomach anything that is Notre Dame.
From Touchdown Jesus to the Gold Dome and everything in between.
Notre Dame football is the equivalent of Duke basketball.
Their fanbase is both annoying and obnoxious, and then there's this sense of entitlement.
I beg to differ, just because Muffy and Skippy can go to your elite universities doesn't make you any more deserving of the finer things in life.
Muffy and Skippy should thank God every night that Daddy made some money along the way in the stock market or your daddy fell ass backwards into money and came into a fat inheritance.
And this is coming from a Catholic boy, raised a Roman Catholic in a Catholic family.

Notre Dame played well imo
Defense faired decent enough
And offense kept Alabama
from having the ball more
Just by picking up first downs and eating
clock away .
Games went pretty much how
I thought it would
But glad I took the teaser
or would be sweating the
backdoor right now by
Notre Dame with few minutes left

And boom
with under 1 minute left ,
if not teased Bama... you lose
with the backdoor in garbage time
Still almost got fukked with onside kick
Would of been more posts though if got a touchdown

Love how they try so hard to score down 24 then when they do, they kick the extra point.
Because it's not what they bring, it's how they bring it.

^Yeah, I saw that.
That was a sharp call Dag's made.
I wanted to tail but I have a hard time betting unders (with a few exceptions) in any college sport.
The Mrs. is a long time Alabama fan as she has friends that were born and raised in Birmingham so I didn't need any action on this game, this was one of those rare games you can chill with without wagering a penny. The rooting interest in Alabama made up for any wagers.
I wasn't crazy about the total and I wasn't in the mood to lay 19 either.
Glad I laid off.
Now this game (Clemson) you pal Nasher has a hundy on the over.
House money so if it fails so be it.

Nice to see Ohio St playing with Clemson here.
Looking for the UPSET moneyline and the +7.5.
Nasher the OVER's looking good so far.
CashFlow, Clemson -1.5, even if it wins, is a bad bet to pay for. If I had seen that I would have mentioned it.
My bad. Not paying enough attention to SBR. I'm kind of getting tired of SBR though...lol.

By that I mean I've had a ton of plays that I've just chosen not to post, Contrarian Funds, etc.
It means it seems I'm losing interest in going over them. Not sure why else to post. If I'm not posting plays, not sure why even log in.

a) if you quit the trolling assholes win.
b) you are correct, there is too much nonsense nowadays here.
c) when the trolling and other bullshit get to me at times do what I do, just drop by for a minute or two every other day, if you do post post in your regular familiar places, keep low, and avoid reading posts/threads that you know going in more than likely will raise your blood pressure if you do indeed read them.
I'm with you, after this holiday season I will be cutting back on my posting for a couple of months.
I have more pressing things to do with my disposable time once the business New Year opens up on Monday.
I need to concentrate more on my writing, so I'll be writing here less often until baseball starts, then in March (end of February) you'll see me on a regular, regular basis.
This is nothing new.
Taking Jan/Feb off from SBR posting has usually been the norm for me
Baseball is done until spring training, I need to put in a couple of hours a day for the next 2 months to be 100 percent for the season.
A lot of these juveniles around here don't understand the effort you need to put in to handicap baseball.
I want to get this MLB podcast with my buddy launched in three months.
My blog needs work too if I decide to (and I did decide) to test the MLB market, because my buddy (he works for the Twins btw, and I think we can succeed)
Some of these juveniles around here have no idea how much work it is to stay current with MLB, especially if you are going into waters that are occupied by professionals that get paid by MLB.com, MLB Network, CBS sports, rotowire etc. etc.
You have 30 teams not only the 25 players in the dugout but you have to know each and every teams 40 man rosters.
That's 1200 different individuals pieces of data you need at your ready.
It's time consuming but it's a labor of love.
Anyway, except for the playoffs the NFL is finished.
There isn't much to write about anymore until next season.
Except the playoffs.
Maybe I'll do a write up or two during the NFL playoffs but like I said my leisure/disposable free time is booked up pretty much solid January and February.
NCAA football is done, except the championship game.
Here, here's your write up for that game.
Alabama beats OSU by 14.
Tide is just that good.
Simple write up, my work is done there now.
lol
I don't do basketball, NBA or NCAA, hoops is my least favorite sport, I really don't give a shit about that game.
So I devote zero time to basketball.
I do like the game of hockey, it's a fantastic sport/game.
It's poetry in motion. But the NHL is a lot like MLB.
By that I mean you have 31 teams in the NHL their rules state each team can suit up 20 players (18 regulars and 2 goalkeepers.) Unlike MLB where you can have a maximum of 25 players in the dugout.
Point is I don't have nearly enough time to learn all four shifts of each and every 31 teams.
There's over 600 players available on a full day's slate of NHL games to be aware of.
I don't have that kind of time to devote to the NHL. I wish I did.
Some of my friends are Puck Head, they are to NHL hockey what I am to MLB baseball.
I respect them
I wish I did, I make it a point to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs every spring.
Best playoffs in all of major sports, thing is I can tell you what most of the rules are, I can tell you maybe the best dozen players in the league, but that's it.
NFL everybody knows most of the teams skilled position players.
We pretty know each teams lead running back, starting QB, two wide receivers, and their tight ends.
Not much thought process there.
Most people, I for one anyway count the o-lines and d-lines as one unit, not as five different individuals.
So the NFL is not that complicated to me anyway, so I have time to devote to it.
Helps if you like the game too.
Anyway, after next week, sports (college and pro) are pretty much dead to me until March.
Oh sure you'll be seeing me, not as often for the next two months.
Hey KVB
If you quit us I will make it my mission to hunt you down and kill you.
You hearing me dude?
(Not only that Daggles will cry like a baby for a week if you left for good.)
That's not a good look for him or anyone of us for that matter.
I devoted way too much time to this post.
This is what I do with some disposable time, I write.
