Be careful, calling the pharmacy to see if your pain medicine is ready with the intent to take it as soon as you get it is not a good sign. I know you've been good with them in the past, and I know your mentality with it is like mine, but be careful.

Think back to when you would have never made that call, and just let the process play out.

Now your making that call. It's a tough, insidious little battle here, we're both in the trenches. We are winning, but the war doesn't seem to end.

I didn't make myself clear enough, I wanted to see if my pain meds were ready (they were) because I wanted pick them up while I was out and about taking care of other business. I don't like to make two or three trips in one day if I don't have to.
It wasn't so much that I was jonesing for the pills (I wasn't) it's just I wanted to stop by the pharmacy after the doctor's office.
I called them in on Friday, I didn't even bother to see if they were ready until today.

If I had my druthers I'd rather not take the pain killers at all, some people like the high, I personally think the high sucks, but they are so damn effective. I never run out of my monthly allotment before the refill date, a sure fire sign that you do not have a problem with opioids.

The other meds I'm on (blood pressure and vitamins) are never problem either, the one med (Adderall) that's the one I keep an eye on.
I'm prescribed Adderall for a couple of reasons mainly for sleep as I have worked the overnights for many years, and for focus .
As a Mainframe IT Operations Analyst working graveyard without a safety net so to speak you need to be focused especially when the upcoming business day depends on what I'm doing.

Adderall is a wonder drug, I like to call it cocaine in a pill. And if one isn't careful it can be addictive.
I love it, I can think and focus like a cobra on it, the high is nice, but you really have to be careful.
I've been on it for 20 years without a problem so I don't see a problem with it going forward.

Not cocaine, speed. It's FDA approved for narcolepsy and ADHD but has off label uses too, like depression, bipolar, anxiety and even weight loss.

Make no mistake, it's a combo of two amphetamines and if you've been taking daily for 20 years then you not only dependant, you are likely addicted. Neither of which matter if you don't have to quit taking the drug, I suppose.

I suppose you don't take it everyday though so maybe only a dependance is at play. I guess it depends on which one of the above I listed you take it for though.

All I can say is it ain't coke, more like meth and definitely something to be careful with.

20 years worth? I am glad it's worked for you and glad you understand the value and danger of what's in your hand. You're messing with dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine there with an amphetamine and dextroamphetamine cocktail over two decades.

And the side effects for me are minimal when coming down off of it.
Hardly any.

Not sure we saw everything Mr. Fish has to offer in the octagon so even though he seemed a bit aimless and I wasn't very impressed I'd like to invite him back next time to see if he can prove himself and fight back.

Now we've always figured Mr. Octo to be one of the smartest fighers but he gave us a fantastic finish with one of the quickest, most effective left jabs we've seen on the KVBCS to date. Get him over here he gets a contract tonight.

Getting back to our prescription pill conversation, my biggest problem with the pain killers are after taking two, the pain evaporates and I can do things on them, like clean the bathroom that I could not do when off them.

The problem comes six hour later when the pain returns doubly.

Yeah, I hear that with the pain killers. As long as you're not actually hurting yourself when masking the pain then it's all good. I can't really injure my neck, just have nerve pain. Not sure how that plays out with your hip though.

They always wear off. Once I get these nerves burned I won't even accept a prescription from them for at least 4 months. So I'll go pain killer free that whole time. We're going to do something a little different this time though and I might get a year of relief. All med usage will drop significantly.

Just might get real productive too. Looking forward to it.

Just what I wanted to hear. It's the NFL so those facts actually work for me here. My only problem is that I was just against the Steelers on the ml and hit. I'm thinking the greed of the market expecting a Pitt bounce combined with a poor Cinci recent performance and QB situation give us a solid window on the spread. But understanding the greed seeking the bounce has already paid off after the first loss. So it's a problem in the cat and mouse aspect of it all.

The Cinci QB is a huge issue here of course, but that's part of the facade. Win or lose Cinci's the spot here.

We have to figure their all professionals here...lol.

Down time is very important, it keeps it all in perspective and manageable. It acts as a buffer too, a check and balance because if you slip, it only begins with missing some down time, and can be corrected.

Agreed on the Total and I have UNDER 40.5 too.
